When did you get involved with the GT40?
Fairly late, actually. Bruce McLaren, Ken Miles and others were there first. I was already involved by '66, though (and put the car on the pole at Le Mans).Ford had more than one program going, and Shelby (Cobra) wanted me to drive his car. That's another reason I was a little late to join the effort.
