Designed and constructed by Lola Cars and based on the manufacturer's championship-winning B06/30 Formula Three car, the Simraceway Formula 3, formerly known as the FJR-50, forms the core of the open-wheeled training fleet at the Simraceway Performance Driving Center in Sonoma, California. Unveiled in 2008 and named to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the first Jim Russell Racing Drivers School's foundation, the FJR-50 (Formula Jim Russell 50 Years) features a 2.0-liter turbocharged Mitsubishi engine capable of delivering 300 bhp, a six-speed sequential gearbox, and adjustable front and rear wings.
