The rally genre already boasts the mighty McRae series, WRC, GT4 and even V-Rally, but where the competition favours a slightly arcade biased rallying experience with massive jumps and negligible damage, Richard Burns Rally is a full on rally simulation experience where the developers want you to experience the fear of flying blind over a crest through a wooded area with tree trunks waiting to smash you out of the event for good. Even McRae, with its authentic handling, tends towards the forgiving in the way it deploys damage.
