GTR features two modes of multiplayer: Direct-IP/LAN and „internet“, which basically is a lobby system similar to NR2003. Once you click on „internet“, you are asked for your online key and can create an account (which will be unique) and then you arrive in the lobby. There you can chat with other racers and browse the servers available. You can also see which drivers are racing on which servers.
