The Sim Factory, LLC, maker of the upcoming PC simulation title "ARCA Sim Racing," is holding an open preview of the title on Thursday, December 20, at 9:00pm ET on its website at www.arcasimracing.com. The preview will be in the form of a live race broadcast over IP television and presented by OLRtv.

The ARCA 200 at Pocono Raceway will be the second streaming presentation of a live ASR race this week after the world premiere of the title on Sunday night at Daytona International Speedway.
As suggested, the title is themed around the cars, tracks, and stars of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the ARCA RE/MAX Series which has been running now for 55 years and is moving in to what may be a landmark year in 2008.
"We have been pouring our heart and soul into this title for over a year and as we are closing in on a final release date, we wanted everyone to get a preview of the sim's raceability in a live, fully competitive event streamed over internet television with commentators and giveaways to viewers," said Sim Factory President of Marketing Bill "Zippy" Zimmerman. "Never before in the history of automotive simulations has a developer put its product to public test in a live, uncontrolled environment before its release to the consumer. We are fully confident that our title will perform to perfection and leave viewers in amazement and awe of the possibilities ahead once ARCA Sim Racing is on the market."
Current and former ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers and teams such as Michael McDowell, Jeremy Clements, Brandon Whitt, AJ Allmendinger, Justin Allgaier, Josh Krug, Bryan Silas, Kimmel Racing and many others have all contributed to the development of the physics, graphics, and gameplay of the sim. McDowell is tentatively scheduled to appear as a driver on Thursday night's broadcast along with Allmendinger, Silas, Dan Brode, Jeremy Clements, Brandon Whitt and other stock car racing stars yet to be determined. An interview with McDowell that aired during an ARCA RE/MAX Series event is available for download on The Sim Factory's website.
During the test broadcast of the software this past Sunday, the OLRtv servers were overwhelmed with connections. As usual with any streaming broadcast to ease the sour taste of those unable to connect to the live event, the full race was made available On-DEMAND at OLRtv shortly after completion. It was exciting to know that the ARCA 200 at Daytona ON-DEMAND has since drawn more traffic than the initial broadcast. Casual gamers, sim enthusiasts, and curious race fans all have been anticipating the release of ASR and during this time of holiday giving, the Sim Factory has decided to provide some winter racing broadcast for the public to view.
"The amount of feedback we have received from the initial ASR preview on OLRtv has been awe inspiring. The phone calls, emails, and message board posts have kept me busier than normal over this week. With a pre-order availability goal of Christmas, we're both excited and relieved to know that we have the support of everyone involved in the motorsports world from fans, sponsors, tracks, ARCA, and most importantly those who have an interest in immersing themselves in our sim."
ARCA Sim Racing, accompanied by a proposed ARCA Sim Racing Online Series, will not be just another game title on a store shelf. Through an actual sanctioned division of ARCA competition, competitors will have the chance to win prizes, trips, and quite possibly a ride in an actual ARCA-sanctioned racing event that does not involve a keyboard or mouse -- the kind with tangible fenders and tires. More details about the ARCA Sim Racing Series will be released once the sim title has hit store shelves.
OLRtv (a division of OnlineRacin.com), the producers of the first two ASR preview shows, has a deep history in motorsports broadcasting under the direction of Matt Thomas and company. Thomas, who pioneered the virtual motorsports network at Dirtvision.com and Asphaltvision.com and is currently an active videographer and producer for various cable and satellite networks, will be at the head chair of all ASR events produced by OLRtv.
