La Electronic Arts ci ha confermato che il nuovo Need for Speed Underground è entrato in fase "gold" (ovvero viene inscatolato): sarà quindi regolarmente disponibile nei negozi a partire dal 20 novembre. Inoltre è stata diramata la lista delle novità e correzioni implementate dalla prossima patch per la versione demo del gioco:
