Atari and Eden reveal another magnificent addition to Test Drive Unlimited; a car that inspires awe and jealousy among car owners today: the Maserati. The name “Maserati†invokes images of luxury, power and prestige. It’s exactly the make of car you’d imagine to see cruising around the lush and tropical island of Oahu. Maserati’s grand history of manufacturing dates back to 1914, but in the late 50’s they decided that they’d take on the Gran Turismo market and introduced the 3500 GT line of cars. There are two types of Maserati you’ll to choose from when Test Drive Unlimited launches and both are shining examples of grace and power on the road.
3500 GT
In 1960, Maserati introduced a version of the 3500 that had a shorter chassis for greater handling and direction. Often compared to the Ferrari 250 and Aston Martin DB4, this two-door coupe convertible was one of the most advanced cars of its day. The 3500 GT is definitely one for players to have in their collection of cars from Test Drive Unlimited.
MC12
The sleek design of the MC12 is just the start when talking about this Maserati supercar. It boasts a 700 horsepower engine and goes 0-60 in 3.8 seconds; it is one of the most desirable and incredible cars featured in Test Drive Unlimited. In 2005, only 35 were made. Players can now enjoy this prime example of technological excellence in Atari’s Test Drive Unlimited.
Farboud Sports Cars was formed in 2004 under the ownership of Chris Marsh. Few cars rival the graceful yet powerful lines of the Farboud GTS, originally conceived by innovator Arash Farboud. In Test Drive Unlimited, you’ll definitely want this stunning supercar in your collection. With M.O.O.R., you’ll be able to host an entire club of Farbouds to take on the island!
SuperCharged GTS Prototype 2005
The GTS hosts a six speed manual transmission that clocks 0 – 60 in 3.6 seconds. This car will have you screaming off of the starting lines in Test Drive Unlimited. Its supercharged V6 engine rockets to a top speed of 200 mph while its luscious leather interior will keep you in the seat of luxury. With flowing lines and simplicity, beauty as well as aggressive racing touches, this is a must-have car in Test Drive Unlimited.
