Dopo alcuni problemi tecnici superati solo nel pomeriggio, il team di iRacing ha rilasciato finalmente la nuova ed attesa build del simulatore: la nuova release porta con sè numerose migliorie ed alcune novità, fra le quali segnaliamo il nuovo modello delle gomme per varie vetture, varie novità grafiche e di layout e persino il nuovo tracciato di Oulton Park.
The 2011 Season 4 build is here and it contains a little something, make that more than a little something, for every iRacer. For openers, we’ve installed the New Tire Model on a bunch of additional cars including the Corvette C6.R, Mazda MX-5 and Roadster, SpecRacer Ford, Late Model, Street Stock and Legends Ford (along with improved NTM versions of the Skip Barber F2000, COT, Class B Impala, Chevy Silverado, Ford GT and HPD ARX01). So more than a dozen cars – including all the base content – now come equipped with the NTM, with additional cars expected to be added during the season.New features include moving driver arms in-sim and replay, and we’ll also have night versions of Charlotte Motor Speedway and Iowa Speedway, along with enhanced pit lane graphics including war wagons on the ovals and and pit tarp/tents on the road courses. And we've tweaked the mixed class racing series so that you only need own any one of the cars in order to participate in a mixed class race.
We’re also introducing Oulton Park Circuit. Long an integral part of the fabric of the British racing scene, Oulton Park is as challenging as it is picturesque no matter which of the eight (8!) configurations you're driving, from the 2.6 mile, 17 turn International Circuit to the 2.2 mile, seven turn Island Circuit and the 1.6 mile, six turn Fosters Circuit. Oulton Park is available now. Long-time host of IZOD IndyCar, NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series events, Kentucky is the latest track to join the NASCAR Sprint Cup schedule. And if last summer’s overflow crowd for the 1.5 mile oval’s first Sprint Cup race is any barometer, Kentucky figures to be among the most popular new tracks to ever join the iRacing. Kentucky is on pre-sale and will be ready next month.
Infrastructure may not be as sexy as new cars, tracks and features, but it’s what enables iRacing to continually deliver online racing of unsurpassed quality. So we are adding a third server farm in The Netherlands near Amsterdam complimenting those already online in Boston and Sydney. The new servers should be online shortly.
