It's been six years since Carmageddon was released. What makes you think the time is right for a 're-invention' of the stunt driving genre?
I don't think that Carmageddon is the game that needs a follow-up, but Stunts. Searching the web for that great game you'll find thousands of players waiting for a sequel. I think it's in fact time again for re-creating own crazy stunt, wrecking or racing tracks.
