E' disponibile da oggi l'addon Hot Wheels Expansion per Forza Horizon 3, dedicato alle celebri automobili giocattolo. Una nuova serie di isole sarà raggiungibile al largo delle coste australiane, tutte caratterizzate da piste ispirate alle celebri Hot Wheels con rampe, salti, loop infernali e altri spettacolari elementi di scenario dominati dall'iconica pista arancione che si snoda tra le isole.
Insieme al DLC è stata diffusa anche una corposa patch per la versione PC di Forza Horizon 3 che estende la compatibilità a un'ampia serie di volanti, migliora le performance della CPU nell'utilizzo del gioco, in particolare con dettagli su High o Ultra e introduce nuove opzioni grafiche ampliando anche le descrizioni di tutte quelle già presenti.

- Improved CPU Performance – new optimization allows for smoother gameplay at High and Ultra settings for PCs running on recommended or specifications or better
- Updated Thread Model – new approach improves efficiency of used PC cores. The new model can be disabled in the option menu if necessary
- More Graphical Options – Very Low option has been added for Dynamic Geometry Quality and World Car Level of Detail to improve framerate on PCs running at minimum specifications
- New descriptions for all options stating how the game performance is affected when making alterations to each
