L'ultima stagione di EA SPORTS e Codemasters per F1 24 è al via, con diversi nuovi oggetti disponibili per i possessori di Podium Pass insieme a nuovi oggetti dello Shop. Sono stati aggiunti anche sei nuovi F1 World Events nelle versioni PC, PlayStation e Xbox del gioco, che rappresentano momenti di grande emozione della passata stagione di Formula 1 del 2024, come ad esempio mettersi al volante della vettura Racing Bulls di Daniel Ricciardo al Gran Premio di Singapore, ultima gara di F1 del pilota australiano.
La F1 24 Stagione 5 aggiunge modalità eliminazione e livree retrò. Oltre a queste aggiunte, sono stati risolti anche alcuni problemi grafici (il changelog completo v1.18 è riportato di seguito), poiché EA e Codemasters apparentemente stanno spostando l'attenzione sul loro prossimo titolo di F1. Si spera che il nuovo gioco sarà rilasciato prima della consueta finestra di lancio di maggio, ricordandovi che EA SPORTS detiene la licenza F1 fino alla fine del 2025, quindi "F1 25" potrebbe essere l'ultima puntata della saga targata Electronic Arts, pur essendoci una clausola di estensione condizionale di due anni per l'eventuale rinnovo.
La realtà dei fatti è che ci sono pochi altri sviluppatori ed editori con le risorse e la forza lavoro per assumersi il peso della licenza di F1, come dimostrato dall'abbandono di Frontier Developments in merito al suo F1 Manager, che purtroppo non avrà un seguito.
