Contesting the eighth season of the FIA World Touring Car Championship, Lukoil – SUNRED’s #3 Leon was driven by Gabriele Tarquini. The 1.6T, piloted by the Italian driver for the final eight rounds of the season, replaced the 2.0 TDI with which he had begun the campaign as SEAT introduced new cars following a major update to the Super 2000 Regulations for 2011.
