The Sim Factory LLC, an Indiana based software development company, has signed a three-year contract with ARCA to produce ARCA RE/MAX Series software and an online simulation series.

The ARCA RE/MAX Series computer software is scheduled to be released in late November or early December, while a sanctioned online series is scheduled to begin alongside the real-life ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule starting in February 2007 at Daytona Int’l Speedway.
“After seeing the quality of the simulation software it was easy for ARCA to partner with the Sim Factory to promote this software and to help with the set-up of the on-line sanction,†said Daren Havens, ARCA’s marketing director. “I have no doubt that the software and simulation series will be successful.â€
The online series will run the same event schedule as the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule and will be run with live officials, spotters and complete race control as an example of it's league capabilities. Computer run rules, spotters and league controls will be integrated into the software, allowing easy integration into the many leagues currently run online as well as for weekly pick-up races.
"The most intriguing part about simulation is not only the enjoyment it can provide the end-user, but if used properly, how it can benefit a real world skill-set,†said Robert Coulter, co-principle, Sim Factory, LLC. “Simulation has been an integral part of training pilots and air traffic control in the military and civil aviation community for over forty years. It has proven effective to better prepare over seventy percent of the users skill-set and the byproduct is fewer accidents and less risk. Our goal for the next three years is to provide the sim racing community the most realistic stock car software available and at the same time do our part in proving to the real-world racing community that simulation is a force that will not go away."
Based in Toledo, Ohio, the ARCA RE/MAX Series is a national stock car tour that has crowned a champion each year since 1953. The series competes each year on a challenging combination of superspeedways and short tracks on both pavement and dirt.
