Il fascino del retrò ha sempre avuto un certo ascendente sulla comunità appassionata di simulazioni di guida (basti guardare il successo di Grand Prix Legends). Di certo lo sanno perfettamente gli amministratori di The Us Pits, famoso sito da sempre legato al mondo di Grand Prix Legends e Nascar. Questa introduzione per cosa? Per farvi sapere che, i membri del sito sopracitato, hanno cominciato a rielaborare una loro vecchia idea: Creare un Nascar Legends Mod. Ora che i mod per Nascar Racing 2003 non sono più un'utopia quest'idea sta diventando sempre più concreta. Lo stesso Jan Kohl fornisce alcuni ragguagli a riguardo:

The plans for the NASCAR Legends cars is that they will use the CTS physics, maybe with some modifications. We'll see. The CTS are actually pretty close in performance, and they punch a huge hole in the air, much like these old tanks.
