Since the VPP pedals allow very hard spring settings to be used, high-tensile velcros can be mounted to the retaining plates. The counterparts are adhered to the ground (can be removed from any surface without leaving residues). This results in a foothold, which sustains even the strongest force and momentum.
With the flanking retaining plates attached, the tilt angle of the pedal chassis can easily be modified. In combination with the adjustable engaging arms, giving a big variety of possible entering angles. But not enough! In order to provide the best possible connection between your feet and and the pedal pads in every possible setting, the pads are swivel-mounted and lockable in many different positions. The travel of the engaging arms is limited by a screw. By turning this screw you adjust the upper and lower travel of the pedal.
The spring-tension of throttle, brake and clutch pedal are infinite variable to adjust. Using the rearwarded screw at the bottom of the spring cylinder/casket (the red thing) the same can be done with the prestressing of the springs. Additionally the engaging arms provide the possibility to mount the push-rod, which compresses the spring, in different levels/positions. Consequently different leverage effects can be achieved. This is the coarse adjustment, fine tuning can be done with a screw at the bottom of the spring casket.
The spring stiffness of the brake pedal is progressive. This is achieved by using two springs, whereat the second spring sets in at half hub (compression) of the first spring. The progression is likewise influenced by the rearwarded screw at the bottom of the spring casket.
The pedal set is powder coated and has a total of 9 ball bearings (the two pedal version has 6) which allow an operation with minimal friction. The engaging arms are assembled to a silver steel axle which offers an excellent mechanical strength.
