La Codemasters ha lanciato un campionato ufficiale dedicato al recente Race Driver GRID: la sessione di qualificazione per gli utenti europei del gioco in versione PC parte proprio oggi, come potete leggere a questo link del forum.
For the last couple of weeks we've been thinking of what we can do to jazz things up a bit for the GRID community, as we wait to be able to confirm more info about the DLC (that confirmation is coming soon, folks), and to inject some life into the "Community Race Day" format.

What we came up with was this - a month-long "festival" of GRID racing leading to the crowning of three "Community Champions", one each for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
The format will be that each Wednesday for three weeks there will be two qualification sessions, one for racers in europe, one for racers west of the atlantic. from each session, the fastest 5 racers (chosen on fastest laps) will got forward to a grand final race for each format in "finals week", the first week of October.
In those races, the finalists will race against each other, and representatives of Codemasters to be crowned Community Champion.
The qually sessions will be Castrol Prototype on the Nurburgring.
The Race format of the finals will be a secret.
All Races and sessions will be assist-allowed, as we can't be sure of the release date of the patch extending the aids-filtering functionality. If you're a hardcore aids-off racer, I'd still recommend entering and practicing with assists, as talent is talent. If this is a success, we're thinking of doing another Assist-off championship after the DLC is out.
There's no big prize, the aim is to race for glory, and the winners will each get a one-off forum avatar and a custom user title denoting their status (and a few small trinkets).
So, have a look down the forum for the signup threads, and good luck!
