    Toca 2: nuova fisica Sim

       (0 reviews)

IMPROVEMENTS : The cars are still too fast, being 3-9 secs faster than actual lap times depending on the circuit. Slowing the cars further involves altering gear ratios, but this has some side effects on acceleration and top speed, as well as frame rates; on some machines it may seem that the cars are now moving "too slow".

PRO SIM MODE : Sooner or later someone will want a tougher set of handling rules to test their mettle. As I see it, this will involve taking the exisitng modified set of mech files and reducing grip to make the cars harder to drive. By comparing the mech (sim mode) and SimMech (prosim) files inside a car's .big file, there are more numbers in the SimMech files, but what they do isnt clear as yet. I plan to try introducing these into the modified mech files I have modified to see the results.

2004 CAR SET : Skins are available for most of the 2004 cars thanks to that talented genius Enigma/Fetal Icecream (depending on what forum you go to). Modifying the ini files will give correct drivers names. As yet we dont seem to be able to update AU or VX cars to BA or VY - but perhaps there's a work around.

ADDING TRACKS AND CARS : It was announced at the R.E.G website that Codemasters has promised editing tools for V8SCRD2 after the release of the PS2 version. Perhaps this will allow us to make some signifigant upgrades... assuming it gets released. Here's hoping.... the game could be SO much better with just a little work and if CM dont want to invest the time there are others who will, if we have the tools. Stay tuned.
