Sul sito di Emac è finalmente apparso l'annuncio che molti aspettavano da tempo: è in fase avanzata di realizzazione il nuovo carset completo Season 2003 per F1 Challenge '99-'02, realizzato da R.Hummerich ed I.Franic. E' previsto il rilascio entro l'attuale mese di Luglio.

As you might have already noticed Ralph, Ivo and myself have worked many days (actually, to be honest, it's more months than days) on a season 2003 addon for F1Challenge '99-'02. But F1-2002 users shouldn't panic, because we also plan to release an F1-2002 compatible version at almost the same time as the F1Challenge '99-'02 version.
Besides the high detail shapes, the pack will also contain all the other lower resolution shapes. So the well-known "pop up" effects of the season 2002 tune-up package should be history. This also explains why this year it has taken so much longer to create the set - Â because the amount of work is much more, compared to last year.
The pack will additionally contain completely new wheel rims of the current season [e.g.. correct BBS rims with 10 spokes]. The rims and tyres are based on the originals of F1C'99-'02 but the number of polygons were abel tobe lowered further, without any loss of quality. All this will be completed by the motion blur effect of the rim manufacturers as well as a revision of the brake assembly.
But this is not all you can expect from the Season 2003.
Further features like rear mirrors with doubled resolutions as well as up to date driver/team symbols and data.
To conclude, I would like to promise you a small additional 'bonus' (unfortunately only for F1Challenge '99-'02) but I shall not tell you more about it - otherwise the surprise is gone. Â I'm sure you will find it our for yourself.
