    Getting to Grips

Update 2.0 introduced a new throttle response model on selected car classes, based on real-world engine data, improving how power is delivered across the rev range. This system is implemented across all cars in the Japanese GT500 Pack. This approach moves us beyond the traditional one-size-fits-all model seen in many sims, allowing each engine in PMR to express its own character — from modern high-compression units to vintage carburetted cars, and everything in between. The underlying simulation method is now in place, with further car-specific characterisation being rolled out in waves as we continue to refine the simulation. Try it yourself: even at a standstill, you’ll feel faster response and much greater control when holding a precise RPM.
