Welcome to the first release from the Historical Prototypes Cooperative.
This is a set of 76 cars that are an add on to RSDG's Sports Car Racing mod for F1 2002. This add on set also requires their Ferrari 333SP add on car for sounds. It can be found at the RSDG website : To install this car set just unzip the archive into your F1 2002 game directory. This assumes that your SCR season directory is called SCSeason. You can use the F1 2002 car manager developed by Vince Klortho to select just the HPC cars to race with. It is available in the HPC forums at RSC.
These cars are all members of Group 6 or Group 7 and were raced in the CanAm series of the late 60s to mid 70s and Interseries and WSC of the 70s and early 80s. All cars were originally made for SCGT. They have been converted, tuned, and in many cases repainted by the HPC and are hereby released with permission of all authors.

Additional cockpit modelling and normals tuning by Patjer. Physics originated from RSDG's SCR mod.
V8 sounds are from the SBDT's GTR02 mod.
A higher resolution skin set for the McLaren M8s will be released very soon. Additional add on cars are planned also. The team is now beginning work on a version for F1C.
There are some known problems with the cars in the set. Some are missing cockpits, some have mirror problems or no mirrors at all. Some are still in low resolution. The cockpits that are present are fictional so that the cars may be driven. In addition, the physics are not exactly realistic. We hope to address them further in the F1C version.
Contributions from members of the community to fix these issues are welcome. Please submit them to the team via our forum at RSC and they will be included in future releases or patches.
