Alessandro Pollini
File Name: R5 Turbo & Maxi 5 Turbo File Submitter: Alessandro Pollini File Submitted: 24 Jul 2013 File Category: Cover wheel Cars Author : [GTC] Pat2611 At the start: Mod reserved only to contributing members at our league GTChallenge.net. For other use thanks to contact me at www.gtchallenge.net The cars: - The aim of this mod isn't a 100% historical reality of this car The engine used in this mod is in fact the 1.600 cc engine of the Maxi Turbo developping 350 cv for 442 nm. While remaining precise, this car had to be playful and bringing a minimum brutality. - The car's 3d is a Type "Cévennes" R5 turbo, client version. This model was sold to teams wishing to use a R5 turbo in Rallies at the glorious time of Groupe B cars. - The car's 3d has not the same origin as the wheels 3d. All 3ds were extracted by me and have nothing in common with mods with the same kind of name. - For the physics, I used many settings from other mods by me. - Engine sounds belong to Franck55's mod, original modder of R5Turbo for Rfactor. As he's gone, I couldn't ask any authorization to use them, but after several tests, I concluded these sounds were really the best ones. That's my choice and my own responsability. Anybody disagreeing with this choice may of course contact me at - There's one point for which I intended a maximum of historical reality: the skins. Each skin I painted for this mod is a copy of a real car driven in rally or EuroCup. You will find near each team name in car selection screen the year when this livery raced. Purists will surely notice one or two lacking logo stickers, but quality photos of this car at this time were difficult to find and not allowing a very precise view, so both Jempy and I decided to skip unreadable logos . They will also notice that some decorations (DIAC de 1986, Times de 1994 et 33 export de 1985) are MaxiTurbo in real races.
