Hi i have a question regarding packers,

How do you setup packers abive or under ride?

meaning if your ride settings lets say is 30front and 50 rear would you set packers about 20mm front and 40mm rear? or 35mm front and 60mm rear

the value of the packer in parentheses indicate how many mm the shock can moves. if you change preload values, the value in parentheses will change because is moving the piston inside the shock changing the distance from the packer. if you use rod value tha value will not change.

in theory, leaving the real height higher than the value in parentheses, the car should not touch the ground.

    sorry for the english.

and what the packer value is exactly because id like to know if my ride is 30 and the packer is 29 does it mean it stop the chasis at01mm from touchung the ground?

in the screen the front shock works 10 mm, and the rear shock works 22 mm.

when packer is (0), means that the shock does not work. if you continues to increase the packer, it also increases the ride because the packer is pushing up the car... like a crick in a shock... :asd:

in theory if ride is 30 and packer is (29), the chassis should not touch, but 1mm is not enought to garantee it.

the general 'rule' is: ride > packer in parenthesis = chassis does'nt touch the ground

but until you try on track your values you can not be really sure, asphalt is not always flat as a billiard...

so it's best to have ride height > Packer by 10mm or 5mm is ok? is there a rule of thumb? the value in parenthesis never should be 0?

at zero it means you are always on the packers. In this situation any changes you do to suspensions, dampes and ARB will be meaningless because the car just became a kart with virtually no suspensions. So not a good idea :)

Also remember that tyres flex as well, so if you have a ride height of 20mm and an available travel of 20mm before the packers engage the car will bottom out anyway because the tyres will flex.
