Worksheet imports times from GPLLaptimes.ini (clicking on any of 'Refresh' buttons will do the trick) and proccesses them to give as much data as I thought useful. First, it calculates 'overall performance' on each track, and how much a 'performance' in each car differs from that 'overall performance'. This difference is used (in conjuction with other factors) to compare those performances among themselves and display best and worst 10 performances (the latter should mean the 10 car/tracks combinations where one could most easily improve one's times). 'Overall performance' is also used to predict times for cars that haven't been driven on that circuit (fields with light blue dot and time below it). The data obtained this way is also used to evaluate performance in each car and how much they vary from track to track. MonsterAssistant also displays the best to worst performance in each car and for each track...

IndyCar Series does a remarkable job of simulating just about every aspect of the IndyCar season and the world famous Indianapolis 500 right up to the point where you get behind the wheel. The car setup, the schedules, the teams, the racers, everything is perfect and you won’t find a more authentic presentation of IndyCar racing - just don't drive this out of pit row.

For the gamers looking for a complete racing game, NASCAR 2004 will please.  The different game modes should keep gamers entertained for a long time.  The excellent graphics and smooth gameplay will also please racing fans.  The controls can take a while to get used to at first.  Your car has a tendency to drift to the left since your racing on oval tracks the majority of the time.  The controls are designed especially for a steering wheel controller.  The sound effects from the Pit Crew can get repetitive after a while.  But even with these flaws, NASCAR 2004 is a great racing game that will please NASCAR and other racing fans.

The only other complaint I have is a total lack of online gameplay for a game like this. Especially since Pro Race Driver's PC effort WAS online. Codemasters has yet to get serious in online gameplay for their racing games. But that aside, you're looking at one hell of a good Indy simulator. Fine for single and multi-player if you can't get online. Once again, a solid effort and more proof that Codemasters truly knows racing games.

Come annunciato ieri, oggi è disponibile per il download la versione definitiva dell'NRTV, programma che permette di visionare le gare online di Nascar Racing 2003 in diretta, senza la necessità di trovarsi direttamente nel server di gioco. Ovviamente ci troviamo davanti ad un'innovazione non indifferente e se anche voi volete provare il brivido di assistere ad una gara online (anche se in 2D), scaricate la versione 1.0.0 del Nascar Real Time Viewer da questo indirizzo e... cosa dire se non "buona visione"

P.s. mi stavo dimenticando. DrivingItalia.NET supporterà questo programma mostrando (appena possibile) le gare del CTStar 3 in diretta!

Le dimensioni contano soprattutto quando si parla di Gran Turismo (Playstation 2), serie che si è sempre proposta come una delle esperienze più lunghe (e spesso impegnative) del settore motoristico. Sony ha rivelato dal palcoscenico del Tokyo Game Show 2003 la distribuzione su ben due DVD, scelta che dovrebbe assicurare molte notti insonni agli aspiranti piloti (il terzo episodio, su unico disco, è una vera e propria maratona di oltre 100 gare).

Più interessante è la distribuzione di una demo contenente alcuni circuiti e vetture che ritroveremo nell'uscita definitiva del prossimo anno. Intanto, il gioco completo è in via di perfezionamento in alcuni aspetti come il controllo delle vetture, evidentemente non ancora vicino agli standard richiesti dagli sviluppatori. Gran Turismo 4 dovrebbe arrivare nei negozi durante la primavera, la demo nipponica sarà distribuita attorno a Natale.
