Engadget ha messo online una sua anteprima... non sembrano particolarmente entusiasti.

There's an almost imperceptible amount of lag between you turning the thing in air and your reaction being conveyed on screen, but it's not a problem. The triggers feel great and, while shifting using the D-pad is a little clumsy, it works. Ultimately and predictably the Speed Wheel doesn't deliver the most hardcore of racing experiences, but it'll be a lot more couch-friendly than your average wheel and pedal setup when it ships this October.

Premesso che:

- per motivi di lavoro sono lontano da casa, che si traduce in zero spazio, quindi niente PC, niente fidato DFP, insomma niente sim....

- posseggo la Xbox presa infatti solo ed esclusivamente per FM3 e per "placare la sete di guida"

Non ho resistito a comprare il bundle FM4 + wireless speed, in quanto a conti fatti, visti i prezzi dei giochi per XBox, il volante era praticamente regalato.

Conclusioni:

- l'ultimo capolavoro dei Turn10 è ancora....incartato (!!!)

- tutte le attenzioni sono rivolte ad utilizzare lo strano aggeggio con il buon vecchio FM3, ed i risultati sono sorprendenti: io sono un paracarro, lo so, ma il volante wireless per quanto all'inizio possa sembrare una scemata, è veramente l'anello mancante fra la periferica di guida (a maggior ragione se fanatec dal prezzo improponibile) ed il pad. I tempi in alcuni casi crollano addirittura di 3 secondi! Anche se teoricamente non ci dovrebbero essere differenze, l'angolo di sterzata è maggiore, e nei tornanti si sentono non pochi benefici, e soprattutto è nell' inserimento in curva che cambia tutto...Ritardi nella risposta non ne sento, e se ci si mette nella giusta posizione non si stancano nemmeno le braccia. Peccato per aver "dimenticato" due tasti, il che complica non poco le regolazioni all'assetto.

Insomma, anche se può sembrare un'eresia parlare di un volante così qui su DI, io vi consiglio perlomeno di provarlo.
