Pagina Facebook KartSim www.facebook.com/KartSim/ KartSim In a couple of weeks from now, KartSim will release a consumer version of their content on Steam. All of it will run inside rFactor 2 and can be mixed and matched with our other content. The majority of that content will be paid, however they are also looking at doing a free indoor track. rFactor 2: KartSim disponibile su Steam

Here it is, all new content from KartSim! KartSim are one of our close partners and we are proud to introduce you to an all new driving experience in rFactor 2, created by their own dedicated team of developers – the guys behind KartSim Pro. You can now experience driving the Iame Senior X30 UK and the incredibly fun Rental Karts on three laser scanned based tracks – PF International Kart Circuit, GYG Karting (crazy track!) and Buckmore Park Kart Circuit. Read more here https://bit.ly/2Gyclcf Purchase the pack here http://store.steampowered.com/itemstore/365960/browse/… Here it is, all new content from KartSim! KartSim is one of our close partners, and we are proud to introduce you to an all new driving experience in rFactor 2, created entirely by KartSim’s own dedicated team of developers. KartSim is a project created by Tony Irfan, a true insider in the world of karting. KartSim specialises in providing high-end leading-edge hardware, rigs and simulation software to the international karting industry. It’s been a while in the making, but real Karting in rFactor 2 has arrived! As you’ll see below, many great names current and past started in Karting. This is only the first in a series of Karts and tracks yet to be released by the KartSim team. There’s more to come! But you don’t need to wait, you can follow this link to buy the KartSim pack, featuring three tracks and two different types of karts now. Tracks Buckmore Park International Circuit Buckmore Park Kart Circuit is an MSA approved outdoor kart racing circuit located just off the M2 in Chatham, Kent, England. Originally owned by John Surtees, who notably won world Grand Prix championships in both Formula One car racing and Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Situated in a woodland between the two motorways, its proximity to London makes it Britain’s busiest circuit. Buckmore Park is a circuit where many current and past Formula One drivers learned their trade, including Johnny Herbert and F1 champions Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton, who was originally discovered by Ron Dennis in the 1996 Champions of the Future event held at Buckmore Park. Glan Y Gors With a length of 1.6 km, this karting circuit is one of the largest in the UK. Situated on the A5 between Corwen and Betws-Y-Coed, is one of the UK premier karting venues that started life comparatively late to other S1 race venues. With fast, sweeping uphill and downhill sections combine to make this an extremely fun yet technical challenge. It is no wonder all the young Racing Professionals start their career at GYG Karting. A lap around the track takes you through corners as carousel, compression corner, the druid’s complex and the devils elbow and contains a straight named after the Snowdon Mountain. The track has various good overtaking opportunities, guaranteeing exciting races! Paul Fletcher International PFI is the UK’s largest outdoor karting circuit based in Grantham, Lincolnshire and caters for various corporate events and race meetings throughout Lincolnshire, Newark, Nottingham and the UK. British, European and World Championships are held at PFI, as well as a club race held once a month by Trent Valley Kart Club who are based at the track. The circuit was built by Paul Fletcher, who still owns it today. Recently in 2011 an extension was added on to the track including a bridge, making it one of a kind. Karts There are two karts within the KartSim package, the Iame Senior X30 UK and a Rental Kart, the karts have been meticulously designed working with partners on physics and drivers for performance and accuracy. These karts are fixed setup, which means they will be great to race online. Iame Senior X30 UK The “X30 World” concept is based on the engine X30 125cc and it can be summarized in few words as “real Karting at hand”. Thanks to the characteristics of the engine of simplicity, immediate feeling, reliability, performance and ease of use, with the concept of X30 World, IAME offers a full program for Karting drivers from the year of their 13th birthday (with the correct MSA licence) with an engine that can virtually accompany them along the whole career. Since the very first introduction on the markets, the X30 has quickly and constantly grown, in the beginning as an engine dedicated to regional series, up to commercial classes promoted under the name of “X30 Challenge”, then introduced as Federative class by federations willing to replace the unsuccessful international classes and recently landed at international level with a European Challenge and an International Final usually held in central Europe. The success of the X30 categories, basically distinguished in X30 Junior, X30 Senior and X30 Master, comes from the stability and solidity of the engine and from IAME’s constant aim to provide detailed regulations and low management costs of both the vehicle and the race meetings. In 2013 the X30 is present in more than 15 countries and beside the commercial classes. Rental Kart The Rental Kart is a fixed gearing corporate kart using a 4 stroke engine for karters who enjoy karting as hobby. They’re equipped with night lights too so you can keep racing them 24/7!

rFactor 2: Roadmap Update Febbraio 2018

In a couple of weeks from now, KartSim will release a consumer version of their content on Steam. All of it will run inside rFactor 2 and can be mixed and matched with our other content. The majority of that content will be paid, however they are also looking at doing a free indoor track. 5.

RD: What sort of simulation are you aiming for here, are we looking at a faithful recreation of kart racing in a hardcore simulation style or maybe something more entry level and “simcade” orientated. ZG: We’ve been getting this question quite a lot lately and let me assure you, KartKraft is a pure bred karting simulation. To explain what that actually means, a physics simulation at its core (in this explanation, an internal combustion engine revving by itself), is a set of parametric inputs (RPM, moment of inertia, torque vs RPM, throttle position etc), a set of equations called the model (angular acceleration = torque / moment of inertia, angular velocity = current angular velocity + angular acceleration * time) and a set of outputs (angular velocity / engine RPM). So essentially, you take the inputs, plug them into the equations, integrate them, and now you have the resulting angular velocity/RPM and torque output. Changing the amount of torque will change how fast the engine revs, as will the moment of inertia. The physics engine is made up of multiple models (engine, tyres, gearbox, suspension, aero etc) that all communicate with each other to simulate the complete vehicle.

After rushing back to Australia from our incredible reception at Gamescom 2015, we’ve been deep in the trenches preparing for KartKraft’s Early Access release. There’s been a huge demand for new content and screenshots from the game, as well as an influx of emails, tweets and comments of your suggestions and game ideas. We’ve listened, added them to our feature request list, and have already begun incorporating some of those ideas into the game. It has also been very clear that we need to increase the frequency of posting new content and improve our communication with you. Balancing an increasingly demanding development schedule alongside running the studio, has highlighted the need for us to add someone dedicated to being your eyes and ears inside the studio. Having led the Gran Turismo community, as well as several other AAA titles, he’s here to make sure you’re kept completely up to date. No more radio silence, guaranteed! And now a quick update on KartKraft; after the feedback from our weekly testing sessions at Black Delta HQ with local gamers and kart drivers, we’ve decided to extend the launch of the game to Q1 next year to add additional features, improvements and optimisations to the game, which we’ll detail in an upcoming blog post. In the next week we’ll be releasing KartKraft’s first teaser trailer since the switch to Unreal Engine 4. With exclusive in game footage, new tracks and features, it leaves the Greenlight trailer in the dust! Finally, we’ve got 5 brand new unedited in-game screenshots taken in KartKraft, showing the official 2015 Praga Karts™ Dragon Evo with the 22hp IAME™/ Remo Racing™ KA100 motor lapping the laser scannedGeelong Karting Club circuit in Melbourne, Australia. Thank you again for all your patience, and stay tuned for the teaser trailer! You can also stay in touch via Steam, Twitter and Facebook, or feel free to drop us a line at contact@blackdelta.com.au. KartSim Development Update

On the development front, the porting to Unreal Engine 4 (UE4) has gone extremely smoothly and we've incorporated your feedback/ideas that we received on the Greenlight trailer. You can now bend the chassis permanently as well as be thrown from the kart as a ragdoll if you hit hard enough. We've also added breakable tyre stacks. The switch across engines has also yielded a massive performance boost. The tyre model alone now runs 476% faster than it does in Unity primarily due to the increased performance offered from C++ vs C#. We've also started work on the Go Kart Club of Victoria's Todd Road track which you can see scan data from below. Screenshots from UE4 to come! Finally, we've been testing the original Unity prototype with a number of fans we selected from the page with fantastic feedback. As much as I'd like to invite everyone to participate, the inability to obfuscate/protect the source code in the Unity version has meant holding off the release until the UE4 version is ready. We're not far off moving the testing to the final UE4 version at which point we'll invite more fans to join the beta testing as we move toward the full release! Again apologies for the length of time between updates. I'll be adding footage from the UE4 version showing off the new features soon. Zach Griffin

    KartSim con Unreal Engine 4

So what does that mean for us all? Whilst the gameplay will only ever get better, we can now announce support for Oculus VR, Linux and Mac versions, support for modding via Steam Workshop and visuals that edge ever closer to photorealism. With the extra power available in UE4, your request to make the tyre walls break apart into individual tyres is also being worked on, which will only add to the fun factor in the sandbox mode. (Server options will be available to turn this off for more serious drivers). We've also taken your feedback and will be improving the engine sounds significantly. There are a lot more features that will be announced soon, but will be keeping them under wraps for the moment. Thanks again for all your feedback and getting KartSim Greenlit. In the next update, I hope to give you a firm release date for KartSim, which I'm sure you've all been waiting for. In the meantime, since we've received a lot of requests to do so, we'll be releasing templates for everyone to start working on their helmets and team tents, with an accompanying tutorial on how to texture them. Stay tuned! Zach Griffin
