The carsales TCR Australia SimRacing drivers head to Bathurst tonight for Round 2 of the series tonight at Mount Panorama. The field will 13 car field will feature a new addition to the grid – Alfa Romeo young gun Jay Hanson joining the field after missing the first event due to prior commitments. Al fianco del TCR Europe e del TCR New Zealand, ora anche il TCR Australia è pronto tornare in pista virtualmente, per la seconda serie delle TCR Australia SimRacing Series organizzata sempre in collaborazione con DrivingItalia.net. Rispetto alla prima edizione, in cui era stato scelto iRacing con l'Audi RS3, stavolta questo Campionato seguirà l'esempio del suo "cugino" europeo, utilizzando il ben noto simulatore della Kunos Assetto Corsa. Questo cambiamento porterà "una sostanziale differenza in termini di vetture" dal momento che sono state confermate tutte le principali marche come Audi, Hyundai, Honda, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Renault, Volkswagen e Cupra, oltre ad allineare la serie australiana a tutte le altre, in modo che i piloti potranno lottare per dei premi utili nel motorsport reale. Entrando nello specifico, le TCR Australia SimRacing Series vedranno i vari piloti competere nella vettura che utilizzano nella serie reale, completa di skins ufficiali in sette appuntamenti che partiranno dall'Albert Park di Melbourne, primo round al via il 18 giugno. Sei di questi si terranno su piste australiane, mentre l'ultimo si disputerà sul famoso Circuito da Guia cinese, dove annualmente viene organizzato il ben conosciuto GP di Macao. Le "entries" per le TCR Australia SimRacing Series saranno aperte a tutti i piloti e team che hanno già partecipato alla prima edizione, così come alle TCR New Zealand Series, ma nel limite massimo di 18 vetture. Per quanto riguardi i premi, i primi tre otterranno delle agevolazioni per concretizzare il salto dal virtuale al reale, inclusa una free-entry nella serie TCR vera e propria.
