  2. The carsales TCR Australia SimRacing Series reaches its penultimate round at the Adelaide street circuit this evening. Live on YouTube and Facebook form 8pm AEST, the TCR Australia and New Zealand competitors will bring their unique and robust brand of racing to the former grand prix venue for a qualifying session and two races. Series leader Dylan O’Keeffe is currently in Europe having tested a brand-new Renault Megane RS TCR in Austria, and has secured a simulator to compete while away. His mani rivals, Ben Bargwanna (Peugeot) and John Martin (Honda) will be hoping that his change of scenery will bring compromises as they look to narrow his .. points advantage. This round will mark the final event on Australian circuits, with the final event to be held at the famous Macau street track in two weeks time.   4. The carsales TCR Australia SimRacing drivers head to Bathurst tonight for Round 2 of the series tonight at Mount Panorama. The field will 13 car field will feature a new addition to the grid – Alfa Romeo young gun Jay Hanson joining the field after missing the first event due to prior commitments. Geelong-based driver Zac Souter is a late withdrawal after his family-run Honda team has decided to flee Victoria before the border at New South Wales is closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in greater Melbourne. The reason he has left the state is that he is committed to a test day for his Civic Type R at Sydney Motorsport Park this Thursday. Al fianco del TCR Europe e del TCR New Zealand, ora anche il TCR Australia è pronto tornare in pista virtualmente, per la seconda serie delle TCR Australia SimRacing Series organizzata sempre in collaborazione con DrivingItalia.net. Rispetto alla prima edizione, in cui era stato scelto iRacing con l'Audi RS3, stavolta questo Campionato seguirà l'esempio del suo "cugino" europeo, utilizzando il ben noto simulatore della Kunos Assetto Corsa. Questo cambiamento porterà "una sostanziale differenza in termini di vetture" dal momento che sono state confermate tutte le principali marche come Audi, Hyundai, Honda, Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Renault, Volkswagen e Cupra, oltre ad allineare la serie australiana a tutte le altre, in modo che i piloti potranno lottare per dei premi utili nel motorsport reale. Entrando nello specifico, le TCR Australia SimRacing Series vedranno i vari piloti competere nella vettura che utilizzano nella serie reale, completa di skins ufficiali in sette appuntamenti che partiranno dall'Albert Park di Melbourne, primo round al via il 18 giugno. Sei di questi si terranno su piste australiane, mentre l'ultimo si disputerà sul famoso Circuito da Guia cinese, dove annualmente viene organizzato il ben conosciuto GP di Macao. Le "entries" per le TCR Australia SimRacing Series saranno aperte a tutti i piloti e team che hanno già partecipato alla prima edizione, così come alle TCR New Zealand Series, ma nel limite massimo di 18 vetture. Per quanto riguardi i premi, i primi tre otterranno delle agevolazioni per concretizzare il salto dal virtuale al reale, inclusa una free-entry nella serie TCR vera e propria. "Le TCR Australia SimRacing Series saranno un'ottima iniziativa per continuare le corse virtuali, mentre il mondo si sta riprendendo dal lockdown - ha affermato Matt Braid, promoter di questa serie australiana - La ARG eSport Cup si è rivelata eccezionale e questo ci ha permesso di continuare il nostro lavoro con una serie dal respiro internazionale.
