    Build 494 - Update 21

    rFactor 2 Build 494 Now Available! You can now download rFactor 2 Build 494 from our downloads page. As always, we have a new free demo that utilizes the latest core code. Our first release of the year, this update includes a number of graphical updates. Most notable is the automated HDR, which uses a set of functions to change all lighting elements automatically/dynamically, based on real geographical location variables, and time of the day. This gives a much more stable and consistent lighting experience. You may still use your personal HDR profiles. You may also notice some shader draw distance changes. Update 21 (Build 494) Changelog (February 26, 2014): ===================================================== GRAPHICS: ———————— Now defaulting to automated HDR parameters instead of manual profiles for every track when this build is first run. After that, you can change back to a specific profile if you want. The preferred profile for any track is now called “automation”. Fixed calculation and tweaked numbers to reduce cloud pop-in. There’s a few items missing from this changelog, shadow draw, etc. FEATURES: ———————— Optional new HDV [sUSPENSION] line ModelWheelsIncludeAllTireMass=1 improves accounting for tire mass and inertia. Obviously this must coincide with actually adding the tire ring mass and inertia to the wheels in the chassis.ini file. In addition to more accurately simulating the tire ring, this also facilitates the removal of SpinInertia and SpinInertiaAI from the HDV. A related change is the optional removal of TemporaryRingMassInertia from the TGM file – the tire now dynamically changes inertia depending on current shape (a new variable MassInertiaMultiplier can also be included if the physically calculated values are not satisfactory for some reason). For newly created replays, you can now play them even if the (virtual) mod is uninstalled, as long as the individual track and vehicle components are still installed. Created some options for the suspension deformation code that allows more generic connections like brake lines. BUG FIXES / OPTIMIZATIONS: ———————— Fixed problem recovering from ctrl-alt-delete in Win 7/8. Fixed some missing translations in rFConfig. Fixed plugin callbacks PreReset() and PostReset(). Fixed a crash from the RFM spinner in strange cases. Made the “goto preferred car selection” page action go to the non-preferred car selection page in case where the preferred car selection page doesn’t exist (instead of going nowhere) Fixed problem reading older RealRoad files. Fixed a potential pit menu crash if FuelSpecial lines are used in the HDV file. Fixed crash related to Mod Mode all tracks & cars selection & uninstalling other mods. Fixed a couple problems with Resume From Replay, including one potential crash. Since full-course yellows do not work without a safety car right now, disable them if there is no safety car available at a track. Fixed potential crash in transparent trainer code – probably only happened in multiplayer. MODDING / PUBLIC DEV ———————— Fixed bug in ModMgr when displaying large (> 2GB) mod files. Added buttons to ModMgr to delete paths from the Working Dir and Packages selectors. Some shader macro prototypes have changed. Look in pShaderStubs.h for changes. Fixed rcd values write out from realtime editor. Now looking for driver RCD files in vehicle components as well as (hopefully soon to be phased out) talent components. UI / HUD / Options: ———————— Fixed ‘enter’ key moving between min and max replay mode for other languages. When selecting a mod with it’s own UI, the standard rFactor UI will send you to a prompt screen to ask if you’d like to use the mod-specific UI. Added RCD editing gizmos: they work on “virtual vehicle” drivers in main release & any content in Mod Mode. Fixed issue with true type fonts sometimes (usually after UI switch) not loading. MULTIPLAYER: ———————— Official ISI server now show on top of mp lobby list (until user manually sorts). If mod specific multiplayer temp vehicle is not found, will attempt to load generic temp vehicle instead. Added gizmo to standard rFactor UI that let’s you quickly change cars in practice mode without having to leave and rejoin the server. Detecting & reloading livery changes in multiplayer quick vehicle change. Disabled new prediction algorithm by default, until issues are worked out. CONTROLLERS / FFB ———————— Added profile for the Thrustmaster TX Racing Wheel. Added an optional minimum FFB torque to the controller.ini file. Disabled by default. AI ———————— AIs now attempt to restart engine when toggling AI on with a stalled engine. Fixed some cases where RCD files were not loading. Decisamente a sorpresa, il Racers Modding Team ha rilasciato per rFactor 2 la prima versione 1.0 del suo nuovissimo Megane Trophy V6 Mod, sostanzialmente un primo "assaggio" di quello che poi sarà il completo WSGT2 Mod nel quale la vettura francese sarà in seguito inclusa. Il mod ci permette di simulare il campionato del Renault Eurocup Megane Trophy, monomarca di grande successo che si disputa con le potenti V6 francesi gestito direttamente da Renault Sport. Il mod include un carset completo della stagione 2009, oltre a varie vetture che hanno corso nelle varie serie mondiali. Hi everyone, Back in 2009 we decided to create a follow up mod for the WSGT. With the obvious name ” WSGT2″. we also decided to change platforms. The WSGT mod was originally created for the Simbin GTR2 platform, and the WSGT2 mod would be targeted at the ISI rFactor simulator. We started work and passion and dedication levels where high. By the end of 2010 we had 22 models build, and 17 of them in game in the rFactor 1 engine. Image Space Incorporated had announced rFactor 2 during 2009 and we where discussing wether we should port the mod to this new instalment. Eventually, we decided to stop work in rF1 and planned to continue when the rF2 beta would be released. As many of you might know, the wait was longer then expected. We carefully followed up the progress of the Beta and used our own WSGT2 Megane Trophy as a guineapig to get accustomed to the rF2 workflow. Initially we stated not to release anything before rF2 would go Gold, but apparently this could take longer then expected, so here we go… There might still be some updating to do as the rF2 beta will continue to be developed, but we hope you will enjoy the mod so far. The series has raced with the Renault Megane Renault Sport since 2005 as part of the World Series by Renault. The Renault Eurocup has run with various models under differing names since 1976. (OPTIONAL) Vmod - This ready to use Vmod combines the RMT_Megane_Trophy Component with some of the ISI tracks. After the release of the latest Image Space Incorporated Build of rFactor 2 we have updated the component of the Megane Trophy V6 mod to Version 1.1. With the release of Build 494 we noticed some issues with the mod transparency and shading settings. During the process of updating these issues we also fixed the alpha channel bleeding on the front window that might show while driving on certain tracks. Further more we changed the file naming because of some request made by racing leagues who are using the WSGT2 Megane Trophy in their racing Series. Racers Modding Team will update the package when required. Users are encouraged to delete any old version of the WSGT2 Megane mod and re-install using V1.1. We will try to supply an update when there is sufficient progress made by ISI. On certain tracks there might be alpha bleeding on the window in cockpit view. We are looking in to this, but have not yet found the source of the problem. We also noticed that on certain triple screen setups that shadows might clip and generate a flashing black screen.     Dopo l'uscita dell'ultima build di rFactor 2, il team RMT ha rilasciato un aggiornamento per il suo Megane Trophy V6 Mod: la nuova versione 1.2 corregge alcuni bugs ed apporta varie migliorie al comparto grafico di luce ed ombre. Il team UnitedRacingDesign ha rilasciato una nuova versione beta aggiornata del suo EnduranceRacingX GT Mod per rFactor 2: oltre ai vari bugfix e migliorie apportate, è da segnalare la presenza degli upgrades per tutte le 5 vetture che compongono il progetto, ovvero AM EGT, Bayro E5, Darche EGT, Venom EGT e URD Corvette C6.R GTE. Chi ha già la licenza del mod ha ricevuto già la mail con il link per il download del file aggiornato, mentre per chi volesse acquistarlo, può dirigersi sullo shop online del modding team.     rFactor 2: Bahrain by McNolo

    Dopo oltre un anno di lavoro, McNolo ha finalmente rilasciato per rFactor 2 la spettacolare pista del Bahrain, convertita con estrema bravura dalla versione originale per il primo rFactor creata dal team CTDP. Questa release ci mette a disposizione il tracciato, ricco di dettagli ed estremamente affascinante, in ben 5 configurazioni diverse.

    rFactor 2: FIA GT3 v0.87

    Il team Apex Modding ha rilasciato per rFactor 2 una nuova versione aggiornata del suo FIA GT3 Mod, che ci permette di scendere in pista con la Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3. L'attuale release 0.87 porta con sè alcune migliorie e bugfix, di seguito elencate.   10. (W.I.P) Nissan DeltaWing Hi guys, long time lurker first time poster here. Just wanted to share something I'm working on for rFactor 2, the Nissan DeltaWing: This is my fourth ever car, first in 3ds max (I have previously worked in Blender) and hopefully the first to have a truly public release. I am focussing on the Nissan variant from 2012 for now, I'll think about the Elan powered 2013 car and the coupe only once the Nissan is finished. This car has been something of a delve into the unknown for me, as not only am I using max for the first time, but also using splines (as opposed to editable polys) for the first time. So far it seems to be working out, the surfaces on this car are much more complex than anything I've done before, but the splines seem to be producing the smooth bodywork without the dodgy ripples and artifacts I always got in Blender. There are still a few weird bits, which is why I took the render from the most flattering angle, but I think I can sort most of them out once I swap to an editable poly, which should be soon. Anyway just thought I'd share it here and see what everyone thinks. Don't hold your breath for release, there's still a long way to go on just the model, not to mention textures (which I'm also hoping to step up my quality on) and physics (I haven't got a damn clue how this thing goes around corners!). fonte Nogrip
  11. Fonte. Just want to show you, that I haven't been lazy all these weeks... This GP - style track is about 4,5 km long with two layouts, nice elevations, good mix of flowing corners and some technical ones too. Track is pretty hard on your tires, so you cannot go all out from green light to chequered flag. Track it now 75-80% complete and I'm working hard to get terrain and tso's finalized. I will pass this track to private testing team *soon*. It will take couple of weeks before this one is ready for release. Some track facts: GT layout Lenght: 4,5 km number of turns: 13 (4 to the right, 9 to the left) International layout Lenght: 4,85 km number of turns 15 (5 to the right, 10 to the left) Grid size: 28 (on both layouts) Garage spots: 28 (on both layouts) Average laptimes GT layout: 1:26 (Formula One) Int layout: 1:34 (Formula One)

    Build 382 - Update 20

    Fonte. Obviously, as always, this update includes a new demo. That demo includes the newly updated C6.R. If you have friends who you think should try the demo with the new C6.R, feel free to share the link to it http://bit.ly/1cDs53k with them. Auto update should work now/soon. If you are using a vastly out of date build, consider manually updating. Manual updates can be done by downloading the Lite installer, and installing it over your currently installation location(s). If not installing fresh, and noticing any backwards movement in performance or visuals, consider having rFactor2 recreate shaders by deleting all files in \Documents\rFactor2\UserData\Log\CBash. Tracks will load slower first time after doing it, as files are recreated. The ISI Official Servers should be ready for you to use with B382, or close to being so. The 382 demo has been re-released. http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/rf2dl/ Fixes an issue with the launcher where some could not launch the demo.   13. Fonte. - New pitlane entrance and exit. It slightly affects fastpath due to the presence of walls at the exit first and last turns of the track. It avoids dangerous situations when entering or exiting the pitlane. The introduced risk of hitting walls should favour overtakings at the first hairpin. - Narrower kerbs to prevent cutting - Lights in the tunnel (still testing) - Guards separated from orange reflectors (last ones uncollidable now) to avoid collison problems. - Terrain slightly improved at tunnel entrance top DOWNLOAD Fix 1.39.

This rF2 plugin will dump all available telemetry data to a CSV file in UserData\Telemetry. The file is named with the current date & time e.g. 20140207_083233.csv Copy rF2TelemetryCSVPlugin.dll to Plugins to install. On first run an ini file will be written to UserData\rF2TelemetryCSVPlugin.ini, containing a single entry: [Telemetry] Enabled=False To enable telemetry logging edit this to: [Telemetry] Enabled=True One CSV file will be written for each real-time session (exiting back to the monitor ends a session). Logging can be enabled and disabled on the fly using the Toggle Hardware Plugins key (default mapping is G). The CSV file generated can be opened in a wide variety of analysis tools including ATLAS.     rFactor 2: video confronto a Mores

    Fra i numerosi video dedicati all'ultimo rFactor 2, dopo il video confronto a Lime Rock Park, vi segnalo oggi quello dedicato all'autodromo sardo di Mores, paragone diretto che ci permette di apprezzare l'ottima riproduzione nel titolo ISI non solo del tracciato, ma anche dei vari oggetti e paesaggio di contorno.

  22. Fonte. Rock Raceway 1.02 My first public track to be released, and it's made in about 50 days in Bobs Track Builder. It doesn't look top notch (I think), and it has some bugs as I'm still unexperienced but it certainly does give the joy of driving! Already known bugs: - AIW is wrong on many levels.. Grid, pit and garage positions are set, but others are quite a mess. I just don't understand the AIW Editor, so I'm looking for someone who could make me the AIW file. Contact me via PM. - There are few holes on ground, but you can notice them just when you go really close to them, can be fixed in future. - Some spectators are a bit above the ground, can be fixed in future. - Track map is not showing up in car, can be fixed in future. - Safety car is at middle of the first chicane gravel area...
