  1. Il team Sector3 ha appena rilasciato un nuovo aggiornamento per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience. In contemporanea con l'update software è stato anche rilasciato il nuovo e storico circuito svedese di Anderstorp. Anderstorp Raceway is now available http://bit.ly/RR_Anderstorp Anderstorp is a long standing marker in Swedish racing history, this is where the greats of Formula One battled in the glory days and where speed kings of Scandinavia were crowned for decades. The track combines a very long straight with cambered sweepers and tight hairpin turns. It demands a good setup of the car and precise lines from the driver to master. The tight final corner combination is always an invitation for last lap heroics, at Anderstorp your win is not certain until the very final meter. The track will come in two variants: GP & South Layout 04-05-2017 Game: Fixed an issue where time allowed to give a position was showing 15 seconds instead of 30. Fixed an issue where players sometimes received a penalty while on grid at the start of MP race. Added a 2 second period during which the yellow flag causer still can be overtaken after he/she has fulfilled the criteria for not causing a yellow anymore. Increased the speed threshold needed to release a yellow flag. Multiplayer Added a setting “Stay in Practice Session if Empty” to turn on/off session freeze to dedi. If ON, the server will stay in practice session if it’s empty. If OFF the server will continue to qualifying even if it’s empty. Sounds, Cameras, Physics & AI: Mclaren 650s: Camera update following the steering wheel alignment fix. Suzuka: Fixed BMW procar going wide in 130R and fixed too harsh 130R cut rules Art: McLaren 650s GT3: Fixed alignment of the steering wheel. The 650S GT3 is the latest generation track-focused racer from McLaren, designed and optimised to compete in GT3 championships across the globe. Since its debut in 2015 the 650S GT3 has claimed multiple championships and race wins worldwide, becoming one of the most successful GT3 cars to date. With a carbon fibre Monocell chassis and an award winning 3.8-litre V8 Twin turbo engine at its heart, this evolution of the highly successful 12C GT3 improves on its elder in almost every aspect, from aerodynamics and drivability to safety and cooling. Game: Data displays: Fixed wrong color of delta and laptime on some of the new data displays. Fixed an issue where Low Fuel warning on data display screen wasn’t going away. Fixed an issue on cars with new data displays where the compact HUD rev lights had issues when not using cockpit cam. Enabled tire temperature even when tirewear is disabled. Added speed limited revlight blinking to old data displays. Citroen data display had a typo in "Brake balance" Fixed issue with displays sometimes showing data for wrong car when “show opponent cockpits” was enabled. Various other fixes and tweaks to existing displays. Flag system: Fixed yellow flag appearing during private Qualifying. Fixed White flag appearing in MP Qualifying session that used rolling start. Fixed an issue in a race with additional lap, checkered flag was showing when timer reached zero and at end of additional lap. Fixed an issue where an illegal overtake under yellow followed by a retirement of the overtaken car would result in the impossibility to give the position back Fixed an issue where checkered flag did not appear for final lap in MP server with flag rules enabled. Time allowed to give a position back after an illegal overtake increased from 15 to 30 seconds Yellow flag now triggers for cars at 20% of their predicted speed ( was 10% ) White flag trigger now requires a car to be 70 kph under its predicted speed (was 30) The other trigger condition remains at 40% of its predicted speed. Fixed 2 Race Format only saving replay of second race. Fixed Multiple Race format giving overall results that did not count points. Re-enabled allowing turning shadow split off after some potential issues reported with AMD Crossfire. Possible fix for the issue where some players, depending on setup had their input frozen. Added some logging when initializing texture and setting video mode. Added a new startup argument for disabling TrackIR. -disableTrackIR can now be added in Steam Launch Options. Slow down penalty throttle limitation doesn't get activated immediately anymore, but waits until the player applies some brake. This also fixes occurrences of penalties triggering heavy lift oversteer on FWD cars. Multiplayer: Added handling for more JOIN_FAIL messages so error messages are more specific. Fixed so join request timeouts are correctly reported as a timeout instead of generic lost connection message. Added some fixes when on occasion, connections were not dropping when leaving sessions. Changed so client doesn't respond to ping requests unless connected or trying to join. Sounds, Cameras, Physics & AI: Citroen WTCC 2016 has received a slight increase in engine torque at low to med rpm. Art: Audi TT cup cars have a new display Audi DTM 2016 finally has its new display Backend & Portal: Fixed top Leaderboard banner in competitions not scaling properly.   8. Il team Sector3 ha appena rilasciato il nuovo update per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience. L'aggiornamento, oltre ai consueti bugfix e migliorie varie, implementa anche le nuove regole relative alle bandiere in gara (gialla, rossa, blu...) e l'atteso nuovo pacchetto WTCC 2016, che per euro 7,97 (acquistabile da qui) ci offre le vetture della passata stagione del mondiale turismo. 05-04-2017 What’s New (Summary) Flags WTCC 2016 Game: Changed so upon finishing a race with a slowdown penalty still active, the player will receive a penalty of 30 seconds added to his final result. Fixed issue with video options breaking when switching monitors with same resolution but different refresh rates. Changed so the slowdown time penalty you receive now factors in the actual track distance you have skipped to fix issue with finishing without receiving a penalty for cutting. Changed so if the accumulated slowdown time penalty exceeds the set post-race time penalty for finishing a race with a slow down on your head, you are now disqualified from the race. Current limit is set to 30 seconds. Fixed refueling sound continuing when refueling and returning back to garage in practice. Fixed issue where "Pit timer" from previous event was showing when player was in a new session after completing an event with mandatory pitstop with a minimum pitstop duration. Fixed an issue where player was sometimes able to change fuel when fuel usage was off. Player car will now always use default fuel amount if fuel usage is off. Fixed issue with time of day setting not applying for race 2 and 3. Fixed so slowdown cannot reach more seconds than post race penaltytime. Xbox One controller profile: Swapped shift down and drs buttons so they match the 360 controller button layout. Fixed Xbox One controller vibration issue. Changed automatic DNF logic to allow players to stand still with their engine off if they're close to their pit box. So players can take breaks during long races without getting retired. Changed so replay is no longer saved when crossing the finish line but only paused. It is now saved and closed when player finishes the race. Fixed so headlights now strobe for 2 sec when button is clicked, or continuously if held. Shadow splits are now always enabled. Tweaked rumble pad/xinput ffb by disabling high speed constant rumble (steer force), rumble on grass and gravel (covered by slip effects) and engine vibrations. Added missing return so now players get returned to menu if the pit window range is invalid for single race or championships. Added session length format to shared memory. (if the session is time based, lap based or time+lap based). Increased shared memory minor version to 5. Various tweaks and fixes to data displays VR: Support for displaying VR sessions on a monitor. (New control to map : “VR Toggle Monitor view”) Note: What's displayed on the monitor is a cropped copy of the left eye render for the VR headset. The crop avoids including the eye's hidden area mask and maintains the monitor window's aspect ratio. The overlays (menus, etc.) are rendered flatly on top of the cropped VR eye render.   9. Non se ne parlava più addirittura da settembre scorso, ma sembra che finalmente sia giunta l'ora del nuovo WTCC 2016 pack per RaceRoom Racing Experience. Il team Sector3 ha infatti confermato sui social l'arrivo a breve del DLC che implementerà nel software la passata stagione del mondiale turismo, includendo anche la nuova Volvo S60 Polestar, che ci viene mostrata in azione al Nordschleife nell'ultimo video realizzato da Georg "6e66o" Ortner (che vi ricordiamo è un membro dello staff Sector3). Inoltre il prossimo update ci offrirà anche la novità delle bandiere con tutte le relative regole.
  10. Next weeks patch will introduce a long awaited new feature: Flag rules! RaceRoom currently features 7 different flags: Green Flag Indicates the start of a session and safe racing conditions. Yellow Flag Is shown to the drivers to warn them about incidents ahead. You should reduce your speed and refrain from overtaking unless stated otherwise. If you illegally passed cars under yellow you will be asked to give those positions back. Failing to do so within 15 seconds will result in a penalty. Blue Flag Indicates a faster car approaching from behind, and is typically shown on your out lap or when being lapped. Let the driver pass safely to avoid a penalty. You have 10 sec to do so, before receiving a first warning, and another 10 sec before receiving a Drive Through Penalty. White/Black Flag This flag is a warning handed to the driver for going off track / driving the wrong way / etc. White Flag The white flag warns you about a slow car on track. This could be a damaged car trying to make its way back into the pits, a driver rejoining the track after losing control, or a car from a slower class. Black Flag The one flag no driver wants to see. If you are receiving a black flag you have been disqualified. Chequered Flag The chequered flag is being shown when the winner crossed the finish line and the race is ending. fonte Sector3 forum

Disponibile qui http://game.raceroom.com/store/tracks/all/mantorp-park Situato nella Svezia centrale, Mantorp Park ha aperto i battenti nel 1962 e fin da allora rappresenta una tappa di divertimento per molte competizioni nordiche. Il circuito è corto, contorto e intenso, noto per essere una vera montagna russa per i piloti. Molte curve sono cieche e richiedono conoscenza del percorso e sicurezza di sé per affrontarle. Basta un errore per aggiudicarsi una visita al più vicino guard-rail, si consiglia di non azzardare troppo finché non si sono memorizzate bene le linee del percorso.

    Il team Sector3 ha appena rilasciato per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience la nuova e spettacolare BMW M6 GT3, berlina della casa tedesca che da quest'anno ha sostituito il precedente modello Z4 in tutte le competizioni di categoria GT3, come il Blancpain Endurance o il Campionato Italiano Gran Turismo. L'update apporta una lunga serie di bugfix e migliorie, elencate in dettaglio qui sotto, inoltre è stato rilasciato il nuovo circuito svedese di Gelleråsen Karlskoga Motorstadion, protagonista del trailer che trovate in fondo alla notizia. Lo stadio di Karlskoga, anche noto come Gelleråsen, è il più vecchio circuito permanente per motorsport della Svezia. La pista è piuttosto piana e aperta, contiene combinazioni di curve a media velocità con un unico lungo curvone veloce che porta direttamente al punto di arrivo/partenza. Potrà anche essere un percorso abbastanza facile, ma ciò significa una gara di testa a testa molto intensa. Le zone di sorpasso sono ferocemente contese, il piazzamento iniziale della propria auto è quindi fondamentale per la vittoria. L'update apporta una lunga serie di bugfix e migliorie, elencate in dettaglio qui sotto, inoltre è stato rilasciato il nuovo circuito svedese di Gelleråsen Karlskoga Motorstadion, protagonista del trailer che trovate in fondo alla notizia. Lo stadio di Karlskoga, anche noto come Gelleråsen, è il più vecchio circuito permanente per motorsport della Svezia.   18. Il team Sector3 ha appena rilasciato il nuovo update per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience. L'aggiornamento ci mette a disposizione la nuovissima Formula RaceRoom US (ovvero una monoposto Indycar), ulteriori migliorie al comparto VR, nuovi data display per varie vetture ed i soliti bugfix. Da non dimenticare che nel prossimo futuro di RaceRoom sono già previste numerose novità, come McLaren 650s GT3, BMW M6, Anderstorp, Karlskoga e Mantorp Park.     Il team Sector3 Studios ha appena annunciato che la prossima settimana sarà rilasciata la nuova patch di aggiornamento per il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience.   23. Come sappiamo, il prossimo GTR3 viene sviluppato dal neonato team Simbin sfruttando il potente engine grafico Unreal 4. A sua volta, il team Sector3, legato come sappiamo a doppio filo al gruppo svedese, ha confermato in una intervista che anche il suo RaceRoom Racing Experience sarà aggiornato in futuro e passerà all'Unreal 4, non solo per restare al passo con i tempi a livello grafico, ma anche per implementare nel software opzioni come il ciclo giorno - notte e le condizioni meteo. La priorità al momento resta ovviamente quella di lavorare su GTR3, ma ci chiediamo: avrebbe senso un tale upgrade per RaceRoom, per avere in pratica due simulatori quasi identici? We know with R3E the game engine is old in comparison to the competition, there is no doubt we are missing certain elements and eye candy the others have. We took the decision that Unreal is the way to go. Eventually RaceRoom will move across to this new technology, but first and foremost it's GTR3. Then we look into what we can do with RaceRoom afterwards.... There is no doubt that the work that is going on for GTR3 we will see in RaceRoom when we make that decision to switch, which means day night cycle, weather, improved physics, AI and visuals. All these goodies will be coming across when the time is right. No doubt there is still some key elements missing in RaceRoom... Flag system, tyre compounds on certain cars is being worked on. Multiclass racing we have a design on paper and will at some point work towards that but first and foremost we have to get the structured MP racing features done. Think of it like this, two separate studios working on two separate products. We are under the same umbrella but we are two separate entities working on different things. We are supporting one another in different areas and provide feedback where necessary, but the Swedish studio is still solely responsible for RaceRoom whilst the UK studio is responsible for GTR3.
