  1. The Most Spectacular Sports Cars have finally returned to your Computer. Finally is absolutely the right word. We are the first to say it took us a very, VERY long time to build. Personally we see it as a great victory of endurance that we where able to push on for such a long time. It was sometimes hard to keep working on this and just because we as friends helped each other we made it. Now prepare to be transported back in time and relive the overwhelming sound and fury of racing cars from 1976 to 1988, showcased in unprecedented detail. There are 58 cars, 514 liveries, and a custom UI. Never before has a collaboration of artists and engineers come together to produce such an encapsulating mod for rFactor1. All cars are modelled to look identical to their real life variants. The Porsche 956, Lancia LC-2, and Jaguar XJR-5 where reworked from the F1C models and all other models created from scratch. Textures were made with the help of thousands of images and videos, and lots of discussions on forums. Sounds were taken from samples of the real cars where possible. Physics were made and tuned from real data and information from mechanics and drivers of the actual cars. Some of these cars are hard to drive fast. Some are very easy. We tried to use the tire info from the period and not from cars that drive today (which would have made things way more easy.) Because of the immense size of this mod, we decided to split the mod up in three parts. There are NO tracks in this mod. AI training is done for tracks Virtua_LM created and that helps the AI be more responsive, drive better lines, and not stop suddenly. Please read the readme file carefully.   2. So you thought after GTPC v1 Virtua_lm was in for a vacation??? HELL no!! Today we will anounce the next chapter we have started. Sportscars Unlimited This mod will be build for Rfactor2. No logo yet just a name and a few renders. So what is it. After release of GTPC we started talking about what to do next. First most important thing was we wanted to build cars we as group really liked and we wanted to thank a couple of people who helped us a lot with info for GTPC by building their cars. So we started gathering info for a couple of cars. 1. Gebhardt c91 2. Brun c901. 3 Interpid RM1. Virtua_lm tries to make historical correct cars. So a lot of fun we have is finding all those small details, contacting original racedrivers, mechanics and try to get as much info as possible to recreate them and be as historical correct as possible in looks, physics. That is for us the fun of modding. Because we have upgrades it is impossible right now to build this for AC. So yes it looks like we model the later years of sportscar racing now. But Unlimited in Sportscar Unlimited stands for cars WE like so could be a older sportscar car too. Vivemclaren has started to model the RM1. Today we would like to show you his first progress report. As you can see lot of work is still to be done. A true racers car, it is balanced in such a way that it works well when driven well, and will work badly (often spinning off the track) when driven badly. If you don’t drive with good technique, it punishes you: It teaches you how to best drive almost every race car you will ever drive… The first thing to note is that of the two configurations, the National version is both easier and faster to drive. The Regional version takes significantly longer to warm the tires, etc, but both configurations do have the same handling traits overall. It is very important to keep the throttle down while turning, as this will keep the rear suspension loaded and the car more stable. Weight transfer is also critical, and any changes to throttle input on entry or mid-way through a turn, which will shift the weight away from the rear and cause “lift off oversteer”, will often lead to a spin. Smooth input is probably the most important aspect of this car, and any car. You must smoothly turn in, carefully feed in the power, try not to fight it too much in the corner, then smoothly let the wheel run as you exit the turn. Always be aware how much the car moves around underneath you, the car will not react well if you put a wheel on the grass on turn-in: That loss of grip will be devastating. Most importantly: Don’t give up on it. If you can adapt your driving style to this car, and drive it well, you will become a better driver in everything you drive. The frustration of spinning out will all be worth it if you can beat this car.   13. TRAILER: by THE_MECO Released! Ok guys, we have finally decided to just release a current version with placeholder V8 sounds for now. Not how we wanted to proceed but TBH it is getting a little beyond a joke regarding the sound situation, and our 'sound guy' is no longer responding to any efforts to contact him. So I guess I will be googling 'FMOD For Dummies' and seeing what happens in the future. Maybe a talented sound modder will appreciate a great opportunity to create some sounds for this amazing car, and you will all have some realistic sounds in the future. Find included in the d/l several 'bonus' items I have prepared, including an SV Owners Manual based on the real cars item as much as possible detailing, among other things, some important considerations for this car. The suspension has 2 options available for rebound damping as per the real car, no option for compression damping was available on these shocks as even one-way adjustable dampers was pretty fancy. Be aware however that this car was never designed for the racetrack - and as such is a challenge to drive on the limit. A more 'rapid & relaxed' drive around the Nordschleife (just imagine the repair bill if you crash!) really shows how nice this car was to drive under 'normal' conditions. We are considering some 'Special Events' against the standard Street Version of the Cobra, as they are fairly closely matched with the Cobras light weight and nice handling up against the power and speed of the Miura. But I recommend them both at Spa for a fun day out! So finally I would like to thank The_Meco for all his time on the model and skins (way more than initially expected), and Pankykapus for being there to help me out with any physics questions I had and for help with setting up the suspension.     rF2: Seat Leon EuroCup v1.2

    Tommy78 ha rilasciato per rFactor 2 la nuova versione aggiornata 1.2 del suo ottimo Seat Leon EuroCup 2014 Mod. Come potete leggere dal changelog, le migliorie e novità sono davvero numerose.   16. Fonte. Hi I'm new to AC and modding for it. Was busy with car modding back in the days of SCGT and F1C. Would like to start out modding again. Started modelling this car a few months ago. Right now I'm still busy finishing the model. There's a few questions I have regarding AC before I can finish modelling it. - How detailed is the damage model in AC? (Is it possible to make the engine cover and nose cover seperate so it flies of in a heavy crash?) - What's the average polycount per LOD? These screenshots are a bit old. The front suspension and brakes have been modelled already. Newer screenshots will follow shortly. If you feel like helping me out with material editing/shading, physics or sounds, don't hesitate on contacting me.
