    Assetto Corsa impressiona Vallelunga

    Per arrivare alla mia conclusione bisogna considerare due fattori: il primo tecnico, il secondo pratico. Tecnicamente parlando, Assetto Corsa è una delle simulazioni di guida più accurate attualmente sul mercato, con una gestione dinamica della fisica, delle masse dei veicoli, dei pneumatici e cosi via, grazie anche alle varie licenze ufficiali che hanno permesso l'utilizzo di dati ed algoritmi provenienti direttamente dalle case automobilistiche: nel caso della Pagani Huayra, per esempio, Assetto Corsa utilizza l'agoritmo originale, fornito da Pagani, che gestisce le quattro appendici aerodinamiche di cui è dotata l'auto e che si muovono indipendentemente le une dalle altre; il Kers de LaFerrari funziona esattamente come nella vera auto, incidendo ad esempio anche sul controllo di trazione e cosi via per tutte le auto presenti nel gioco. Sulla riproduzione praticamente perfetta dei circuiti grazie alla tecnologia LaserScan si è già parlato a lungo ed il team Kunos si è semplicemente preoccupato di affinare la tecnica di lavorazione, cosi da ridurre i tempi di acquisizione dei dati e quindi i costi dello sviluppo. Il fattore pratico ho potuto constatarlo di persona proprio sul tracciato di Vallelunga, quando nel pomeriggio, dopo la conferenza stampa, la Kunos ha messo a disposizione numerose bellissime vetture (presenti in Assetto Corsa ovviamente) per dei test drive, sia come passeggero che come pilota, per chi ne aveva... il fegato. Nelle ultime settimane mi ero preparato con molta attenzione per questa possibilità, affinando i miei "sensi" e provando a lungo in modo particolare tre vetture di Assetto Corsa con i simulatori dinamici del Driving Simulation Center di Lanciano che, essendo dotati di pedane di movimento a tre assi della Simulator Giantruck, potevano fornirmi la fondamentale componente del movimento della vettura. E' bene focalizzare l'attenzione proprio su questo aspetto: se il software elabora tutti i dati nel modo corretto, il pilota guiderà l'auto soprattutto "col sedere", mentre il feedback e la forza del volante diventeranno quasi secondari, diciamo un'informazione in più, ma mai primaria o fondamentale. Il sospetto di cui parlavo all'inizio di questo articolo era divenuto fortissima curiosità quando, la scorsa settimana, due piloti professionisti del campionato Lotus Cup, dopo essere scesi dal simulatore del Driving Simulation Center, mi avevano detto: "Incredibile, sempra proprio la mia macchina vera, l'ho guidata allo stesso modo!...". Ed avevano ragione. Sulla pista di Vallelunga ho provato la 500 Abarth, la Lotus Exige e la Ferrari 458 esattamente come al simulatore dinamico, sentendomi in perfetta sintonia con la vettura e la pista, ricavandone le stessissime sensazioni e feedback. La sensazione di deja vu nel comportamento e nelle reazioni era talmente forte che mi sentivo tranquillo, padrone della situazione, come quando guido il mio Fiat Doblò! Le auto si comportavano in un modo che il mio cervello CONOSCEVA già. Solo un aspetto è stato del tutto nuovo, come del resto mi aspettavo: la forza G laterale, in taluni casi davvero notevolissima. Ma prima o poi arriverà anche sui nostri simulatori dinamici. La versione 1.0 di Assetto Corsa arriverà nel corso del mese di ottobre, dopo una versione Release Candidate che servirà a sistemare eventuali bugs ed imperfezioni. Prepariamoci quindi, fra le tante cose, alla modalità carriera, i pit stop, i danni (estetici e meccanici), modello gomme migliorato (con graining, blistering...), la splendida LaFerrari, Spa, Trento Bondone, Ferrari 458 GT2, Shelby Cobra.... Sarà un inverno molto caldo, fidatevi. Per commenti e domande fate riferimento al forum dedicato.   3. Hey, been working on this track on and off for the last few weeks learning the different material settings. It isn't perfect as there isn't enough info about at the mo and examples but non the less this track was created around 5 years ago for Rfactor and it went Hall of Fame so I thought it would be a good choice. I have done a fair few updates to try and modernize the model. It could do with some more but hopefully you will enjoy it for what it is. DOWNLOAD Cheers Madcowie fonte AC forum

    Il team UnitedRacingDesign ha rilasciato per Assetto Corsa la nuova versione 005 del suo già apprezzatissimo Endurance GT Mod, che include varie vetture GT ben note. Per l'acquisto ed il download del mod correte sul sito ufficiale, mentre per commenti e discussioni in merito utilizzate questo topic del forum. We have updated our EGT for AC. New version is 005. You can just override the older files for now.   7. Alright, time to release an initial version, 0.5. Things that still need work: -Collision box -Exhaust (flames) -Real solid axle (KUNOS PLS) -Suspension animations (BLENDER PLS) This is the first version of the Datsun, a drift version. Comes with a lot of steering lock, custom suspension, and a GM LQ4 V8. Four different tire types: Street, Semislicks, Slicks Hard, and Magic. The hard slicks are mostly right off the DTM E30. Magic tires are basically the Street tires, but with zero wear and zero heat build up (for drifting ) Right now it has a faked rear axle, using a DWB type suspension. Lunae and I have done a lot of tuning to get the thing to where it's at. Please do NOT EDIT THE PHYSICS, use the in game adjustments in the pits for that. Please do NOT modify or reupload without my permission. Please make some skins for it though. DOWNLOAD Body PSD file is located in the skins folder, titled 'bodypaint.psd'. There is a saved selection in the PSD for just the body paint. Hopefully it will be easy for everyone.   9. Fonte. Mission Raceway Park also known as MRP, is an auto racing facility located in Mission, British Columbia, Canada. The facility features a ¼ mile NHRA-sanctioned dragstrip, a 2 km (1.2 mi) 9-turn roud course, and a 3 km (2 mi) motocross track. It is owned and operated by the B.C. Custom Car Association, and the BCCCA operates the drag strip directly. The road course and motocross tracks are operated independently by the Sports Car Club of British Columbia (SCCBC) and the Lower Mainland Motocross Club (LMMC) respectively. The BCCCA originally drag raced on unused runways at Abbostford Airport from 1952 to 1957. The original Mission Raceway Park opened in 1965, and the facility operated until 1978 (a motocross track was added in 1973). However, MRP was shut down when the District of Mission wanted to establish an industrial park on the site. After years of negotiating and legal wrangling, the new MRP was opened on March 14th, 1992, on land near the Fraser River. The drag strip was awarded a National Open by the NHRA in 1993. MRP won the NHRA Division 6 Track Of The Year Award five years in a row, from 1994 to 1998. It then won the same award three years in a row from 2005 to 2007. The SCCBC originally road raced on unused runways at Abbotsford Airport. In 1958, the SCCBC opened the Westwood Racing Circuit, which operated until the club lost their lease in 1990. The SCCBC worked out an arrangement with the BCCCA, and in 1992 opened the River’s Edge Road Course at Mission Raceway Park. The road course was used for driver training classes during the first two years, and began full road racing operations in 1994. The road course was changed for 2008 with lefthand turn 7 becoming a left-right combination (7A-7B) leading into a new lefthand turn 8 (previously a right) and a longer, wider turn 9. This caused higher exit speed onto the straight, and may have contributed to the trackday death of Suzuki TLR-1000 rider Cam Gillispie, 33, on 12 June 2009 when he struck the outside concrete wall after exiting turn 9. The track was reconfigured for mtorcycles in 2010, returning to a lefthand turn 7 followed by a righthand turn 8 leading into the original turn 9 feeding onto the straight.     Mazda 787B in game

    Con i due nuovi screen che vi mostriamo di seguito, AssiPazz e i ragazzi che stanno collaborando con lui ci mostrano per la prima volta in game la stupenda Mazda 787B su cui sono al lavoro per Assetto Corsa. L'attenzione per i particolari è maniacale e già da ora il cockpit si appresta a diventare uno dei più belli "uffici virtuali" in cui abbiamo mai corso. Di particolare interesse è anche il fatto che per la fisica delle gomme verranno aiutati da Aris stesso, responsabile della fisica delle vetture ufficiali del simulatore di Kunos Simulazioni.

I was thinking whether to show it off or not at this early stage but I decided why not so here's the (almost) most recent progess on the CSR. Note that many objects are missing, most are low-poly, the edges are rough and not chamfered but it's shaping up quite well (and a lot quicker than the Audi). Hope you like it

    Il purtroppo ormai defunto Formula Corsa modding team ha rilasciato per Assetto Corsa la nuova e probabilmente ultima versione 0.99 del suo FC2 2014 Mod, un progetto che permette di simulare l'attuale stagione della serie cadetta GP2. La nuova release sistema i vari bugs, ottimizza varie problematiche e perfeziona ulteriormente la fisica delle monoposto.

If you want to convert it to another platform, or want to edit things like the AI and CAMERA files, ask for a permission first. It's very likely that I'll give it to you, as long as it improves the track. DON'T UPLOAD IT SOMEWHERE WITHOUT MY STRICT PERMISSION!!! INCLUDING DRIVINGITALIA, RACEDEPARTMENT, OR OTHER MOD COLLECTING SITES!!! - INSTALL - To install this track, simply drop the "petersberghillclimb" folder into X:\Steam\SteamApps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks. - HOW TO RACE - This track has a maximum grid of 15 cars. It's meant to be driven alone, or with at least 15 seconds between the cars, as a pure time attack track. So just use the normal time trial/free practice mode. There are no lights (real life road doesn't have any either), I'd recommend to drive at daytime, if AC ever gets a real nighttime option. - KNOWN BUGS & ISSUES - No Cameras No AI. There are some slight pop-ups in the background which are unfortunately necessary for performance reasons. The track is a bit more FPS heavy than others, because of all the details. Movable objects aren't supported by AC yet. - CREDITS - Track layout, terrain modeling, design, road textures, object placing and preview picture by GTAce. Petersberg Grand Hotel, Chapel and the Guard House were built by renntom. Additional texture work (mapping, shading, materials etc.) in the rFactor version by aleksssk. Conversion, shading, optimization for Assetto Corsa, skysphere, additional texture work, terrain map by dkutch/bobskype. All other textures and objects like trees, guard rails, spectators, vehicles etc. used, are from several Xpacks. I don't know all the individual authors, but I'm very thankful for their work! If you see anything you made and want to be mentioned, feel free to contact me and I'll add you to the ReadMe file. The Simca Rally used for the preview picture is from HistorX Team's 'HistorX v1.95' mod for rFactor. - SPECIAL THANKS TO... - ...my dad, who gave me the idea to use the road while I was searching real roads for a (fictional) hillclimb and for his constructive critics, which helped me a lot.     AC-rF2: WSGT2, RMT chiede aiuto

    In a perfect world, we would like to release part of the WSGT 2 material for rF2 and Assetto Corsa. That said, there is no such thing as a perfect world, meaning we are still debating what we will or can do. Today we reached a point where we are discussing what the next step will be. For the moment we have a staggering amount of material, but have to be honest to admit that with the four of us and the time schedules we are running, it will be virtually impossible to release the full WSGT2 mod as planned. Even a few cars might become a problem with the current workload and free time. As friends, and as a Team we are now trying to come up with a few solutions. One of those solutions would be bringing more members into RMT. Admittedly we have tried that in the past, and it became clear that this is not as easy as it might sound. Its very hard to find passionate and committed modding enthusiasts. If someone out there would hear the calling, and would like to join our little team, feel free to contact us. The attached gallery (about 600 screens) and video’s show you a small amount of material we have created in the past few years. While some material is a good 5 years old, we feel it still comply’s to todays standards. (Keep in mind that all videos are recorded in rFactor 1) It would be a shame to let it all go to waste. So we are trying our best to come up with a solution that enables us to finish what we started. Thanks for listening.
