    [AC - Track]Barbagallo raceway

Barbagallo raceway View File Barbagallo Raceway V1.2 by Darren Blythe Barbagallo Raceway at Wanneroo is Western Australia's only permanent racing circuit and has been operated continuously since 1969. It is most recognized for it's place on the V8 Supercar Calendar and it's short and fast layout coupled with some nice elevation changes make it exciting and fun to race. Barbagallo is one of my favorite Aussie tracks so I started putting this together a few months ago. It started as a test project to help me get to grips with AC's modding possibilities but took on a life of it's own. It is scratch built from the ground up. Over six months and 1000 hours later I'm proud to bring you the first release of this great little track for Assetto Corsa. A huge amount of effort went into this project. I hope you enjoy it. V1.2 - Update 01/12/14 Two fantastic new camsets by norbs: TV2 and Kerbcams Fixed sticky tyrewalls on pit straight Optimized collision meshes Minor mesh fixes Dynamic groove tweaked Version Number added to track description Submitter Alessandro Pollini Submitted 06/03/2013 Category Track
Doug: Let me guess. Solving the current modding situation is a high priority. Is it the highest priority? Marcel: No, the highest priority issues at the moment are DX11, VR support, a better UI, and matchmaking. The workshop already works pretty well from a user perspective. Tools for modders can still be improved though. Doug: How high a priority is making the packaging process easier to use in rFactor 2? Marcel: I would say it is medium priority. I would like it to be easier for people that host leagues, maybe even up to the point where they don’t need to package anything. For modders the packaging system works reasonably well. One thing that I would like to do is to make the tools easier to integrate into automated processes, so you can create scripts that package content and that can run unattended.
  3. Virginia International Raceway released! http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=8027 Time to share some exciting news from me I first started working on VIR after i finished Barbagallo in December 2014. Progress was slow but steady then i spotted Rigel's thread here: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/i...nternational-raceway.28594/page-4#post-625175 It seemed somewhat ridiculous for Rigel to start from scratch when I had been working on the same track for almost a year so I approached him and he kindly offered to join the project. His outstanding modeling and and texturing skills are helping take things to a level I would have struggled to achieve with a solo endeavor. We have also been assisted from the beginning by arthur666 who lives close to VIR and drives there regularly. He's collected telemetry, hundreds of photos and his first hand experience is helping us shape this project into something as authentic as we are able. We've purposely kept things under wraps until we were far enough along to be certain it wouldn't vaporize and until we had something exciting to share with you all. Currently we're about 14 months into the project and about 70% complete. It looks fairly mature but there's still a LOT of stuff to finish and implement. We hope to include all the configurations as well as a few extra bits and bobs. With our collaborative efforts and passion for this great circuit, we are working hard to bring you the most authentic VIR experience possible. In terms of a release date, it'll be ready when we can't think of anything else to add and it's 100% functional. Hopefully sometime Q2 this year. For now here's a few WIP teaser shots. Enjoy! and stay tuned for future updates DB, Rigel & Arthur666. fonte AC forum

    rF2: Road America by SimHQ

The rFactor 2 Road America project was initiated by Dennis Grebe, best known for his terrific Virtua_LM track development of LeMans, Fuji, Nazareth, and Topeka tracks for rFactor 2. The Road America track in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin is one of the première road racing venues in the United States. Longer than many other US racing tracks, 4.048 miles (6.515 km). The track has 14 turns, many of them sweeping through the beautiful Wisconsin countryside. Some corners, such as 2 are barely a turn at all and more a slight bend in the straightaway!
