Con una mossa quanto mai apprezzabile, i SimBin hanno ora reso possibile riscattare su Steam sia GTR e GTR 2, dando così la possibilità a tutti di poter riprovare questi titoli senza i fastidiosi problemi di incompatibilità che potrebbero avere con i sistemi operativi più recenti. Sarà sufficiente avviare Steam ed inserire la propria licenza senza trattini. In GTR 2 mancano alcuni contenuti della versione standard, però: non sono specificati quali.
