No Lu, quello di cui parla nel video e' un V6 (lo dice anche a inizio video), il BMW era un 4 in linea con un unico (enorme) turbocompressore. :14_relaxed:

Ho cannato io...quello del video è del 1985 credo. 
Per il resto della gestione dell'uso del motore confermo. A vedere il grafico della rapportatura non è nemmeno da fare modifiche estreme però è da toccare qualcosetta sui rapporti e la macchina è guidabilissima. C'è un server online (Estoril) per questa macchina con discreta gommatura. Con motore da gara si scende sotto il 22. E' un mostro.

Lu, hai ragione, la sto provando a silverstone e mi sto divertendo, cambiando rapportatura si riesce a stare in quei 2000 giri di buon utilizzo :91_thumbsup:

volendo fare i pignoli qui dice che la coppia max sta a 8500, ma in questo mod il calcio in **** arriva a 10000

Allora avevi ragione te. Avere un picco a 8500 giri vuol dire che la turbina è già entrata in azione. Quindi forse quei 1000 giri che avevo pronosticato erano un pò ottimistici.
Forse una ricalibrazione facendo partire, con meno violenza, i bar della turbina dagli 8000g/min può essere la soluzione definitiva.
Però hai notato che in fin dei conti l'auto si tira molto bene anche avendo pochissimo range di utilizzo. Al punto che ci si "scorda" del resto della macchina...che lavora veramente bene in ogni condizione (io la stò provando all'Estoril e nonostante le sconnessioni la macchina va alla grande). E' quasi più importante gestire al meglio il motore con i rapporti che non il set vero e proprio...strano ma forse Postipate ha semplicemente fatto una base di set forte per tutti i circuiti e quindi è facile godersi da subito la macchina.

Si, come ho scritto all inizio un conto é il turbo lag di 2 secondi e un conto é a che rpm parte il turbo. Esempio, se sono a 8000 rpm e premo a fondo il gas, dopo 2 sec devo avere il turbo che pompa anche se sono a poco piu che 8000, e quasi subito dopo devo avere la max press che ho settato, quando gli rpm aumentano, interviene il waste gate a tenermi la press a quanto stabilito (ma non so se tutto questo puo essere implementato da rf2). Per il resto sì, la macchina si guida anche in soli 2000 giri e come detto é divertente...perö perö.....mi piace andarci a fondo :1_grinning:

Torque peak means theorical peak of torque with max boost (with zero turbo the peak is at 8500rpm) It doesnt mean it was even possible. In dyno sheet of BMW M12 the power doubled from 8500 to 10000 and in BT55 power range was very narrow (worst on grid)

It has one very big single turbo. No twin.

Thanks for explanation. No doubt you've done many research for matching this mod as close as possible to the real counterpart.

my doubt was the so narrow working rpm range of this engine, but if you say it is ok, so i trust you.

as i said, the car is very enjoyable to drive, impossible to annoy.
