VELOCIPEDE
Nuovo aggiornamento da Feel VR https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/feel-vr-the-affordable-direct-drive-racing-wheel#/updates/7 Quote We have: -fixed tons of different small but still important bugs in parts, assemblies and drawings; -redesigned and optimized pedal damping system; -mastered polyurethane injection technology for the rim; -redesigned wheel housing to optimize device cooling; -mastered custom steel and polymer spring solution for pedals to optimize costs; -redesigned pedals electronics (mainboard) to optimize costs and manufacturability (now everything is on a single PCB instead of two PCBs); -redesigned table clamp to optimize costs and durability; -designed and tested several quick release systems to optimize costs and usability; -changed Formula rim diameter from 250mm to 270mm according to numerous requests; -changed the way wheel base can be mounted to the rig for better stiffness (there was an issue with decorative/angle customization plate regarding the stiffness of the mount, so now wheel base can be mounted directly to the rig, as well as the way it was before); -changed strain gauge type for custom load cell solution for better stability over the temperature range; -selected suppliers, optimized supply chain, tested and verified samples of most core components of the system, including motor (with required customizations), power source transformer (with certification related requirements), load cell sensor (with custom strain gauge solution), wheel encoder related components, buttons, joysticks, pedal encoders, most components on every PCB, wiring, etc; -chosen key production contractors after getting quotes and analyzing more than 50 contract manufacturers; -have implemented many other optimizations, modifications and verifications for mass production on more than 300 wheel and pedals mechanical parts, 7 PCBs and 8+ injection molding parts.
