With the launch of Porsche pack Vol. 2 on Steam earlier this week, the second of three Assetto Corsa DLC packs dedicated to Porsche, KUNOS Simulazioni has unveiled the Porsche Program, an official partnership with Porsche AG that provides the Assetto Corsa Porsche driving simulation experience at Porsche Experience Centers, at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, and at track events and race weekends.

To ensure the most accurate virtual experience, Kunos have been directly working with the manufacturer’s R&D department for the supply of graphical assets, sounds, handling data and software technologies. Each game car model has been reproduced with maximum fidelity and approved by Porsche after being examined in every detail.

The event, which was held on November 19th 2016 at the Autodromo di Vallelunga, (the same location where the Kunos Studio is situated) was attended by a selection of international journalists from video gaming and automotive, who had the chance to test the new cars included in the Porsche Pack Vol. 2, the console version of Porsche Pack Vol.1, and drive a real Porsche Carrera S on the track. Thanks to the partnership with Porsche AG, who were present at the event with their Driving Academy and representatives, the journalists had the chance to discuss directly with Porsche the partnership in front of some iconic cars brought directly from the Porsche Museum: the 918 Spyder, the 919 Hybrid 2015 and the Rothmans-liveried 962 C Long Tail, cars that are now available on Steam from November 22, and soon to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The event also featured Sparco, the official partner of Kunos Simulazioni for its teamwear in 2016. Sparco unveiled new details about its incoming line-up dedicated to Assetto Corsa fans and gamers, who will soon be able to purchase official Assetto Corsa products.

Last but not least, KUNOS Simulazioni invited German Youtuber Marcel Pfister to reward him for his positive efforts and creativity shown in his online videos. Marcel had the chance to meet the team behind Assetto Corsa as well as the Porsche staff and was given the chance to drive on the track a real Porsche Carrera S as a tribute to his positive contributions to the sim racing community.
