VELOCIPEDE Posted November 18, 2016 Share Posted November 18, 2016 Congratulations to Matt Cresci for winning the 2016 Mazda Road to 24 Shootout, which will award him a $100,000 scholarship to compete in next year's Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BFGoodrich Tires! Matt Cresci - along with some of the other finalists - is an avid member of iRacing, with over 100 virtual races under his belt. His most frequently used car? The Global Mazda MX-5 Cup. A huge shoutout to Pablo López for competing in the Shootout as a representative of iRacing. All of the drivers were impressed with his skill on track having come from the sim racing world. VELOCIPEDE Posted January 7, 2017 Share Posted January 7, 2017 iRacer Glenn McGee has been named one of ten finalists to join IndyCar star James Hinchcliffe on Team ROC Factor North America in Miami on January 21-22 to compete against an elite field of race drivers including Sebastian Vettel, Kyle and Kurt Busch, Tom Kristensen and Juan Pablo Montoya in the 28th annual Race of Champions (ROC). The winner will be chosen based on the results of a public vote on the ROC website (www.raceofchampions.com) and the decision of the ROC jury.Voting closes January 9 at 1 PM eastern (5 PM GMT).A standout in the iRacing Mazda MX-5 Cup, McGee earned a spot in the Mazda Road to 24 Shootout and was awarded a $100,000 scholarship to compete in the 2016 Battery Tender Global Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by BF Goodrich Tires. Anche quest'anno Glenn ha raggiunto con merito la finalissima, che si svolgerà il prossimo 15 Ottobre a Laguna Seca.
