The DSD Wilwood Load Cell Pedals are represent the intersection between real world racing and sim racing.  We've taken off the shelf Wilwood racing pedals used in real racing machines and engineered components which bolt onto to the pedal rack to convert them for sim racing use.  You can literally take our parts off the pedals and put them into your real world racing car!  It can't get any more realistic than that!

Pressure based braking is what's necessary when simulating braking systems in real world cars; potentiometric brakes don't cut it.  The brake pedal in our system uses a 100kg load load cell element in a compact mechanism to reproduce the firm and solid feeling you'd find in any modern racing car.  The brake pedal is not limp and light!  It's solid!  What this means is deeper brake zones, control at threshold braking limits and more podium finishes.  The braking control you'll have is unparalleled! 

The throttle and clutch are smooth with both using million life cycle potentiometers for reliable function.  The entire system is connected to the DSD 12bit controller with integrated load cell amp using variable sensitivity.  You'll find that the variable sensitivity adjustment for the brake pedal allows you to set the maximum amount of pressure you wish to use on the brake as your preferred maximum (your "relative maximum") so you will use the entire bandwidth of the brake channel.  That results in being able to press the brake as firmly as you wish so your sim titles of choice see a full 4096 steps of resolution.

The DSD Wilwood Load Cell Pedal System arrives out of the box, ready to use.  The pedals are pre-mounted on a 3/4" (19mm) thick plate of anti static UHMV composite (base plate dimensions are found below).  The pedals connect to your PC via a standard USB port without any drivers.  From there you simply calibrate them and hit the races!

mmmmmmh.... bellina (la wilwood...)

Cioè, il lavoro "buono" (apparentemente) è stato fatto sulla struttura della pedaliera, poi sembra quasi che abbia voluto chiudere tutto il progetto in fretta e furia e ci abbia messo 2 tavole sps 15mm come "base" supereconomica per dire "ah, c'è anche il poggiapiedi!..." peccato che, ripeto secondo me, sia ridicolo.

Certo...anche la molla a tirare davanti all'acceleratore fa fare "brutti pensieri"..........ma si sa che le cose più semplici, alla fine, sono sempre le migliori...   
 
PER ME (parere MIO personale) vale i soldi che chiede, eccezion fatta per il pianale... Dopotutto avrà montato almeno 150 euro di componenti (siamo buoni...), mettiamoci un po di manodopera e di giusto guadagno... "se li merita". 

 

se non ci si vuole "sbattere" troppo o se non si vuole impazzire su sistemi idraulici (che per certe mod su certe pedaliere sono, IMHO, assolutamente inutili!) ha un prezzo tutto sommato accettabile 

Niente di nuovo, innovativo o particolarmente funzionale sul piano tecnico sl discorso freno (4 elastomeri e 2 molle...funziona come alcune mod per logitech o Thrustmaster eheheh)

si bella la wilwood esteticamente, ho avuto modo di provare questo modello di pedaliera su una punto s1600, la struttura lascia parecchio a desiderare, i meccanici stessi mi hanno sconsigliato di prenderla ( volevo usarla come base per il mio attuale progetto di pedaliera ) in quanto si riscontravano appunto problemi strutturali come piegamenti e torsioni varie dei pedali, alla fine costa 200 euro questa wilwood non è una tilton a pedali pieni o per lo meno non hanno usato dei materiali consoni con le adeguate dimensioni.

in quanto al funzionamento come ha detto Mattia è la più semplice delle soluzioni, economica ma funzionale, e questo va bene.

ma vogliamo parlare della struttura della base? ridicola oltre che fatta davvero male, sia strutturalmente che esteticamente, proprio di cattivo gusto.

 

come detto a livello di funzionamento ( eccezione fatta per l'acceleratore che è davvero imbarazzante ) ci siamo, il più classico dei sistemi, è come la zuppa della nonna, è sempre la stessa ma ti sazia   , ma per quanto riguarda questo modello di pedali wilwood e per il pianale hanno scelto davvero le più scarse tra le soluzioni

questa pedaliera inizia a piacermi......, mi chiedevo se era possibile averla a due pedali...invece di tre con frizione...!

 

domanda...ma per realizzarla con la roba wilwood è molto complicata? o conviene prenderla già fatta?

a priori il sistema adottato dalla DSD per questa pedaliera è sbagliato. si può realizzare molto di meglio, poi è da valutare che tipo di sistema si vuole usare. io è da un paio di mesi che sto portando avanti il progetto di una pedaliera modulabile con varie combinazioni, fin ora i risultati del prototipo rispondono alla perfezione ( ho ancora i componenti in ditta ), ma di certo non farei mai la stessa scelta sia di componenti che di sistemi di funzionamento dei vari pedali che ha fatto DSD, a mio parere un accozzaglia di componenti pessimi, con soluzioni pessimi, il tutto messo insieme con una "cura" ben oltre il pessimo
