DiRT Showdown, che si mostra oggi in nuovi video ed immagini, sarà il primo gioco ad uscire sotto la nuova etichetta Codemasters Racing, che verrà adottata per la produzione dei numerosi titoli di guida in sviluppo presso la casa britannica. DiRT, GRID, F1 2012 ed F1 Online: The Game saranno ovviamente i brand curati dalla divisione racing. Nuova caratteristica sarà anche la nascita di Codemasters Racenet, ovvero una piattaforma online che sarà inclusa in tutti i prossimi titoli racing del publisher e che verrà lanciata in beta proprio con DiRT Showdown, offrendo vari servizi per il comparto online dei giochi e creando un unico universo incentrato sulle corse della medesima compagnia.

Features available May 1:

  • RaceNet sign up and RaceNet account creation.
  • Link RaceNet account to a PSN, Xbox Live or STEAM ID.
  • Contribute and track progress towards community challenges.
  • Gain access to RaceNet community through forums.
  • Unique ‘Founder Status’ RaceNet Award and a RaceNet XP boost for anyone signing up during the demo.
  • All Codemasters Racing games that are RaceNet enabled will be automatically connected in future.

Features from May 25:

  • Weekly RaceNet Events for DiRT Showdown.
  • Regular general community events.
  • Add other RaceNet users as Friends and import your Friends from PSN / XBL / Steam
  • Link your Facebook and Twitter accounts to your Race Profile
  • View Driver Profile page and track your progress across all RaceNet enabled games in one place.
  • View your Showdown career progress on RaceNet and compare and share your progress with others.
  • Link your YouTube account to view uploaded YouTube movies from Showdown on Racenet.

RaceNet is coming to F1 2012

We’re now just days away from the release of F1 2012 and we’re delighted to confirm that RaceNet is also on its way.

Set to arrive shortly after release in an update, RaceNet will bring a host of new features to F1 2012 such as stat tracking, career progress, multiplayer session monitoring, the ability to compare your times with not only friends but the wider community and weekly RaceNet events.

What’s more, if you register for RaceNet (or are a pre-existing member) then you will unlock a set of three exclusive racing helmets.

So what is RaceNet?

RaceNet is the home of your Codemasters Racing career. It’s an online extension for Codemasters Racing games that lets you track your Races, Rivals and Rewards. RaceNet is still in Beta so sign up, get involved and help us shape its future!

By registering for a free account, you’ll be able to join in special events, check out your in-game progress with super-slick visuals and earn RaceNet Awards and XP!
