Consigli per Logitech G25/G27

First: Logitech Profiler
attachment.php?attachmentid=200462&d=143

After you have made a new profile for project cars go to "Specific Game Settings".

Adjust like so:
- Use special FFB settings: enabled (of course)
- Overall effects strength: 100-107%
- Spring effect strength: 0%
- Damper effect strength: 0%
- Enable Centering Spring: disabled
- Centering spring strength: 0%
- use special steering wheel settings: enabled
- report combined pedals: disabled
- degrees of rotation: 900
- use special game settings: enabled
- allow game to adjust settings: enabled

Second: In Game Settings_
Go to the controls menu and chose "Logitech G25 seperate pedals"
attachment.php?attachmentid=200463&d=143

Click "Calibrate Wheel"

1st: You have to turn the wheel until it stops and reaches its maximum lock.
attachment.php?attachmentid=200464&d=143

2nd: turn the wheel 90° clock or anticlockwise. "steering lock" should be at 900° (if its at 899° you will die. dont ask what will happen at 901°) Click "finish".
attachment.php?attachmentid=200465&d=143

Click "Calibrate Pedals"

Game says it all: "Depress all pedals as far as possible" Do it now! The values should all be at 100 Click "finish".
If they are not at 100: normally when you first start your PC you should have pressed/depressed all pedals before you start the game. You might need a retry at this. If it still doesnt work restart the game and play a bit with the pedals, it will work. Don't play with them while in the settings menu, pedal input navigates through the settings and might do damage.
attachment.php?attachmentid=200466&d=143

Go to "Configuration"

Now, you can leave the pedal deadzones (throttle/brake/clutch) at 6 or put them to 0 if you like.
attachment.php?attachmentid=200467&d=143

Set Force Feedback to 100. Go back. Don't touch anything else. good. thanks. your welcome.
attachment.php?attachmentid=200468&d=143

Click "Calibrate Force Feedback"

At first I recommend setting tire force to 100. You can adjust it later on to how you want it to feel like. I like having it at 200 as it gives me the best feeling and strongest FFB.
attachment.php?attachmentid=200469&d=143

So. There is a LOT of stuff going on in this section and I'm sry to tell you this: I dont know shit about 14 of these sliders. But I know something about the remaining 2!
One that I just mentioned "tire force" and the last and most important slider in this guide:
"Deadzone Removal Range"
attachment.php?attachmentid=200470&d=143

Third: Deadzone Removal Range:
Now this bad boy wants some attention!
You will need to adjust the Deadzone Removal Range to compensate for washed out effects in FFB.
Some people said that their G27 just didnt feel as sharp as the G25 with the same settings. That is because the G27 has skew gears instead of straight gears and just works a tiny bit differently.
So I will only look at the G25/G27 for now.
If you did as I said before: FFB strength Profiler 100-107% / In game FFB 100%
The G25 has a standard FFBbaseOffset-value of around 3.5% - 7%. This may vary a bit!
The G27 however has a FFBbaseOffset-value of whopping 18% or even more with the same settings applied.
The ideal value would be 0% for any wheel.

If you want to lower your FFB strength and set "Force Feedback" to maybe 80 or 60 in the game, you will need to adjust a higher Deadzone Removal Range value !
Again, when lowering FFB strenght more and more effects will get lost if you didnt adjust Deadzone Removal Range as well and it just doesnt feel as good as it could be. You can try to lower FFB by using Tire Force instead of FFB Strength in game.
To get your very own FFBbaseOffset-value if you want: download "wheel checker 1.72."
https://mega.co.nz/#!wt4UzboQ!r70tME...IBBJYULPWWyNCg
Just open it, no need to install.

Click on "Spring Force"and go to "min force". Make sure you dont touch your wheel for the next few seconds.
At the bottom you can read out the value that applies to your wheel and settings.
attachment.php?attachmentid=200471&d=143
Take that exact value and put it in Deadzone Removal Range. So if wheel checker says 5.0%, Deadzone Removal Range should be at 0.05
If it is at 18%, in game should be at 0.18.

As I said, lowering FFB strength will result in higher FFBbaseOffset values !
Now you can adjust any slider to your liking. Keep in mind that the G27 may react differently to value changes compared to the G25! (as you noticed with Deadzone Removal Range)

Consigli per Thrustmaster T500

Make sure you have latest thrustmaster firmware installed and most recent TM software.
Make sure let game choose ffb settings via TM software.
I set ffb to 65 in TM software.
I leave everything default in game.
I calibrate wheel to exactly 900 degree rotation(its a 1080 wheel)
I set FFB to 100%.
I set damper reduction to 0%.

If a particular car is too light its easy to increase very slightly the master spindle in car setup menu. I don't do this very much tbh
You are correct keep an eye on wheel realtime data graph via HUD to ensure your setting are not making your wheel clip

I have also testing the dinput8.dll FFB fix for shift2 which seems to help reduce lag a bit more..

and i lowered my sensitivity to 0... it's still nothing close to how i would like it.. but it keeps getting better..

i'm sure with most people trying to slove this , it will be fixed some day...lol

oh.. i also started using the CARS_FFB.exe to run the game.. that also helped.

G25/G27 Workaround for massive deadzone

I tried over 3 months to find a way to eliminate a deadzone from over 90° in each direction in Shift2. Now I know that it is caused in this engine by using multiple controllers. I tried this today with the 073 prealpha of C.A.R.S. and it works, too!

It will help all you guys with G25/G27 wheels and separate pedalsets powered by Bodnar-Controller. For you with Ecci and Frex wheels and other special equipment like shifter with gamepad-controller or buttonboxes it should do so, too (but I know this not for sure)

Give it a try!

And for you devs....to search in your code for this, it could help how this behavior can be eliminate by this workaround...I hope you find it soon, because it is very annoying to do this each time after gamestart!

Here we go:

You must do this each time after starting C.A.R.S.!

1. In the controller settings in your choosen preset you must reset everything with R

2. Tune the deadzones (0) and Sensitivity (50) (or to your liking) and save it with the right shift key. For Logitech wheels the wheel axis is already assigned, but for custom wheels you should assign your axis by hitting F and assign it there. Assign now only the wheel axis (and not the buttons or axis from other controllers!) before saving with right shift button!

3. Go on the track! Test the response of the wheel. The deadzone should be gone. Escape from track (these part seems to me essential for success)

4. Go again to controller settings and assign with F all necessary buttons and axis and save it with the right shift key.

Now your are ready to enjoy! ...and you can do the same to enjoy Shift2

BTW: Try using the CARS.exe or the CARS_FFB.exe for best pleasure....try both, because it seems, that some hardware configurations match better with one or the other of them.

Feel free to give here response and/or discuss this intermediate solution.
