This version 1.2 patch for F1 2011 will update any global PC retail disc edition (excluding Brazil and Japan, for which separate patches are available).

Use the version of the patch that matches the version of the Disk you have. This patch is only to be used with retail disk based versions of the game and NOT if you've purchased the game digitally via Steam, Direct2Drive, Metaboli etc

**Change Log**

Game Improvements:

o A connectivity rating display has now been implemented for each player in an online session lobby. This appears as coloured bars (red, amber, green) to indicate the expected online performance of the player in the game session.

o More network bandwidth is now reserved for game-critical systems in online sessions. This may result in low-bandwidth users having their voice chat restricted to fewer players, but should result in a smoother online experience.

Strategy & Setup:

o Fixed 11/11 car setup bug.

o Fixed issue where your race strategy uses the same tyre compound three times in a row & the final set are worn.

o Fixed issue where wear-based punctures would occur too often.

o Fixed various issues with the race engineer speech logic.

AI:

o Fixed an issue where the AI run on Intermediates for too long.

o Fixed issue where AI cars would be too fast in the wet.

o Fixed an issue where AI vehicles pitted too often during dry, online races .

o The AI has been tuned on several circuits to provide smoother and faster driving.

o Fixed issue where the AI’s sector 1 times in Malaysia were too slow

Co –op Championship:

o Fixed an issue with the save becoming corrupt / not able to invite the other player when playing long race weekends.

o Fixed an issue where AI difficulty was reset to “Amateur” level when resuming a Coop game.

o Fixed an issue with tyre wear in Practice/Qualifying not being carried over to Race.

o Fixed an issue with the penalties accrued in Practice/Qualifying not being applied to the Race.

o Fixed an issue with the Race Results where lapped AI are causing player to drop positions.

Online:

o Vote to Skip in Qualifying now requires 100% vote.

o Various Penalty system improvements have been made.

o Quick Race countdown timer is now set to 60 Seconds and no longer resets when a player joins the session.

o Fixed issue where host and client machines would report different qualification results during online games

o Fixed an issue where online players would sometimes see other players or AI cars using the wrong tyres.

Graphics & Performance:.

o PC - Numerous performance improvements have been made to increase frame rate and reduce stuttering.

o All Platforms – Numerous graphical improvements have been made.

o All Platforms – Fixed various issues to improve general game stability.

PC-specific:

o Fixed several functionality issues experienced when using DX11 cards.

o Fixed issue where users could hack specific files to increase car grip.

Other:

o Fixed a very infrequent issue where some sessions would be skipped over when progressing to the next session during a Long Race Weekend.

o Korea tyre compounds have been changed to those used in the 2011 race.

o Fixed an issue where in career where the "on the bounce" achievement was awarded after 11 race wins instead of 9.

o Fixed an issue where all users would be awarded the fastest lap XP and stat during some online races.

o Fixed an issue where driver's hands & head popped in a few frames late when switching cameras.

o Fixed issue where players were able to post extremely quick Time Trial times

o Introduced option to have 30%, 40% & 75% races.

Dopo la patch sono sorti due piccoli problemi con la gestione delle gomme nelle sessioni di prove libere: qui di seguito cosa si tratta e come risolvere (in grassetto).

Practice tyre issue post patch 2

Since the release of the 2nd patch for F1 2011 on all formats, two seperate issues have been reported by the community regarding tyre wear in practice sessions. These are outlined below along with confirmed workarounds in bold.

1) If you select drive out for a second run on the same set of tyres in Practice or Qualifying you’ll incorrectly go out on the next best set of tyres that you have available. When playing offline if you use Flying Lap this will not happen and you will be on the set you select.

2) At the end of P1 only, tyre wear from your most worn set of tyres is copied over the wear for the other available set. This can be avoided by selecting the other set before skipping to the next session.

Instructions:

1. Extract the files in the zip.

2. Copy the files in to the system directory in the appropriate folder.

• F1 2011 - C:\Program Files\Codemasters\F1 2011\system

• Steam - C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\f1 2011\system

• If you installed F1 2011 or Steam to a custom directory you’ll need to find it yourself.

3. Play F1 2011.

4. If the fix has not worked delete workerMap2Core and rename workerMap2Core – BACKUP.

Ciao a tutti,

chiedo il vostro aiuto! Dopo aver installato le patches 1.1, 1.2 e la patch fix, il gioco ha smesso di salvare i progressi. In sostanza è impossibile andare avanti con la carriera, rimango sempre fermo al GP di Germania. C'è qualcun altro che ha il mio stesso problema? Sapete come risolverlo o dobbiamo aspettare un altro fix da parte di Codemaster?

Uff grazie del consiglio :up: ho rimosso tutti i mods, praticamente il gioco adesso è completamente originale ma il problema continua a persistere. Niente salvataggi :no: . Ho anche dato una lettura al forum ufficiale Codemasters e ci sono tanti utenti che lamentano problemi di ogni tipo dopo l'update.........davvero non ho parole!!!! Le patches dovrebbero risolvere i bug.....non crearne di nuovi!!! :buu:

Se non tirano fuori un'altra patch penso che questo gioco per me andrà nel dimenticatoio.........ed ha avuto vita più breve del 2010.......vedo che Codemasters migliora di anno in anno :clap: .

Cmq grazie ancora del consiglio e della disponibilità. :cool:

Non che nessuno ci avesse mai sperato davvero, ma ora è finalmente arrivata la conferma: Codemasters non rilascerà una terza patch per F1 2011, lasciando il gioco con i problemi segnalati dopo la pubblicazione della patch 2. Come successo per il 2010, quindi, i giocatori si ritrovano con un gioco "monco" e che non verrà mai sistemato del tutto.

Troviamo davvero triste e irrispettoso nei confronti di chi ha acquistato il loro prodotto che una compagnia come Codemasters tratti i giocatori in tale modo, ma a quanto pare ai piani alti sono soddisfatti delle vendite da non ritenere necessario investire un po' di forza lavoro per far salire anche la loro credibilità agli occhi della comunità.

Che dire... con rF2 alle porte, pCARS, GTR3 e Assetto Corsa speriamo proprio che questo 2012 ci faccia dimenticare in fretta questa notizia!

I know that it's been a hot topic on the forum recently and, as we enter a new year, I wanted to let you know that we've had to close off any further post-release development for F1 2011 patches etc as the team switches its entire resource to future F1 titles.

I'm aware that this is not the news many of you were hoping for, but I kindly ask that you all please keep any future posts on this topic constructive and in line with the community guidelines.

scusate, ma solo per capire, dato che io ad f1 stò giocando da un pò alla 360, col fanatec gt2, IA leggenda e tutto su off con distanza di gara 75%, potrei sapere quali sono i byg ancora presenti dopo la 2° patch, perchè forse non me ne sono accorto io, ma non ho visto nula che non vada...

Ci sono i freeze improvvisi su certi configurazioni, risolti in parte con il solito file esterno come per i replay nel 2010 (per cui se non si segue il forum ufficiale CM si rischia di ritrovarsi con un gioco inutilizzabile: si è obbligati a scendere in pista solo con il giro lanciato), poi quello delle gomme, indicato poco sopra.
