Piboso:

There still are a few tasks to complete before release:

1) a bug on the tyre model to fix

2) displays

3) turbo sounds must be tuned

4) integration of the new driver animations

5) integration of the latest models and textures

Task 1 completed.

There is actually a 6th task, that is physics data tuning.

Speaking of physics... Pro tip: the default differential ramps setting in the FR3000 gives a very "nervous" behaviour. An easier setup would be the opposite: 85/30 to have a stable rear-end during braking and less oversteer out of corners.

Piboso:

Unfortunately it's not possible to release this week.

In the meantime, code has been added to simulate the disconnection of the rear axle when the handbrake is pulled.

Piboso:

Unfortunately release must be delayed again, to do more tuning and to complete the last tasks.
Sorry for the endless wait sad.gif

World Racing Series is a realistic car simulator, based on a scratch built physics engine that accurately simulates vehicle dynamics and setup options. As such a force-feedback steering wheel is strongly recommended, although keyboard, joysticks and gamepads are fully supported. World Racing Series also allows to host and join online races, with an integrated matchmaking server. During events data is collected, to provide
statistics
for drivers' comparison.

Features:

- automotive industry-standard tyre model

- dynamic track surface groove buildup

- wet track simulation and dynamic drying

- dynamic marbles generation

- tyres pickup of marbles, grass and dirt, affecting grip

- output of CSV files with telemetry data to analyze driving sessions

- a plugins interface allows external programs to receive realtime data from the simulated car

- LAN and online racing. Dedicated server available

- support for custom paint schemes for car, helmet and suit

- advanced users can build new tracks and integrate them with the provided tools

- user-selectable driver gestures

PiBoSo:
There are plans to improve and extend the track tools to make them more powerful and easier to use.
At the moment, however, there are no plans for the "official" tracks, because the full focus is on adding new vehicles.

dal forum di Piboso:
Complete track pack
Here you find a complete pack of .rdf files for using the GP-Bikes tracks in WRS.
http://forums.piboso.com/showthread.php?...762#pid762

How to install:
-Download and install the original GP-Bikes tracks in WRS.
-Download and unzip my modified WRS-tracks files.
-Copy the two unzipped files of each sub-folder to the corresponding track folders and replace the original files.

dal forum di Piboso:
Advanced HUD
Download:
http://www.sendspace.pl/file/2d6eaf52e21f9c3f0c51883
Installation:
Unpack archive then move files (".dlo", ".ini" and "data" folder) into "plugins" folder located inside your "World Racing Series" installation.
When on track press F2 key to activate plugin menu. It will allow you to enable or disable particular window or move it to different position with created mouse cursor. After configuring HUD according to your preferences press F2 again. Plugin creates display over your game screen that allows to show more information about your lap times. Main elements of display include sector and lap times, difference to best sector time, fuel level and live split. Live split is similar to racing with "ghost". It shows time difference to your best lap time at any point on track.

Added a link to the input plugin interface, too ( even if it's the same as Kart Racing Pro ).
