    Introducing the Ford P68 inspired  Grad Turismo Prototype 2013 for Assetto Corsa

    Driver and project dedication to Jochen Rindt.
    Vacuum moded Kevlar-honeycomb reinforced GFRP, Epoxy matrix. Sealed cockpit. Total body mass (w/o windows and w/o paint): 24kg (weighted).
    Aluminium and steel sheet metal based monocoque design. Two-piece rear bulkhead allows for easy installation and removal of the drivetrain. TIG-welded, painted and waxed steel members, solid and Cherry-Max riveted aluminium members. Total mass: 91kg (weighted), torsional stiffness: 12kNm/° (FEM-computed with discretized rivet connections, stiffening roof structure influence not considered in computation).

    Introducing the Ferrari inspired Ferrari Piero T2 LM Stradale for Assetto Corsa

    Ferrari Piero T2 Stradale:
    What if Ferrari went back to Le Mans in 2025 and decided to adapt a limited number of its Le Mans racers for road use. In Italian we say "Stradale". 
    The Piro T2: is a twin micro turbine electric hybrid.
    It has 2 micro turbines that charge a battery pack when running in idle, but the micro turbines can also be used for thrust in straight parts of a track. To do so the micro turbines use electric activators that spin up the revs of the micro turbines quickly when needed. 
    The Piero T2 also uses active aero-dynamics to maximise down force when and where needed.

    Project History:
    Following on from the hugely successful Ferrari F80 mod, I felt a deep longing to return back to the equally stunning and important master piece by Marcello Raeli. 
    This cars design resonates in so many ways, from the allure of automation, endless speed, to the sleek space voyage capsule type cockpit.
    This futuristic design deserves to be known and driven.
    The ideal is this new shape and connection to technology on the track can be looked at and played with by the younger generation that there are many new wonderment ahead for, in areas of, Automation, intelligent systems which appear human,  even new race tracks on new worlds such as Mars is firmly on the to do list!
    The car is Scratch built with all rights reserved to the original author Mr Marcello Raeli
    Project Status:
    Currently the project consists of a scratch built model, version 1.0.1 which was complete with tinted cockpit was never published 
    Further details will be improved and finalised.
    My Motivation:
    To bring the heart and minds of the younger generation closer to the perfection of this design and shape by making the car alive and pushing forward what is expected from automobile and technology.
    Additional information:
    The Ferrari Piero T2 LM Stradalefor Assetto Corsa is a work in progress with the current interior and experience not a finished item. This projects goal is to assist the original designer with visibility of what could be possible.

    Cosmic Motors Galaxion 5000
    Graphic artist, writer and futurist Daniel Simon is the current darling of both Hollywood movie studios and the top levels of the video gaming industry. Where this man’s wild brain goes, billions in potential commercial opportunities seem to follow. His most groundbreaking work for car enthusiasts came with the founding of Cosmic Motors some years ago. Future cars from Cosmic Motors are often capable of flight, hypersonic speeds and include unimaginably advanced racing and weapons technology. Away from the brutality of the interstellar race circuit, Cosmic Motors also produces a line of super-luxury coupes called the Galaxion. The Galaxion 3000 and 5000 personal luxury coupes present a luxurious way to warp to the 330 mph top speed inside a plush two-seat cockpit.     Project History:
    This is the forth Gift Horse Mouth Studios project, a line of free sim racing cars, each with a timeless story.  Hidden but picked up and brought alive in Asset Corsa, so that motion can breath life into a valuable dream.  We felt the book Cosmic Motors is not just a  book of pages with ink, but a key to another place, a real place called Galaxion. It exists, it must be a real place.

    The strong  feeling of longing towards Galaxion I feel has some form of connection to the poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge..
    “What if you slept 
    And what if 
    In your sleep 
    You dreamed 
    And what if 
    In your dream 
    You went to heaven 
    And there plucked a strange and beautiful flower 
    And what if 
    When you awoke 
    You had that flower in you hand 
    Ah, what then?”

    The Galaxion 5000 is the ultimate flower, so close but out of reach,  she simply had to be gently held and brought back, to be given life through motion. We had to do it, we had to bring her back.
    The project is a centre point mandala for Galaxion.

    Daniel Simon (1975) is a concept designer, author, photographer and producer.
    After working as a Senior Car Designer for Volkswagen and hypercar maker Bugatti, he started working in Hollywood as a Vehicle Concept Designer in 2008. 
    Simon created unforgettable vehicles for Tron: Legacy, Captain America, Prometheus and Oblivion. 
    Interested in alternative worlds and history, Simon creates his own books. 'Cosmic Motors', published in late 2007, paved his way into the movie industry and set new standards in 3D design and visualization. 'The Timeless Racer', his second book - coming in June 2013 - is already praise by BBC Top Gear magazine as 'the next big coup' and has a foreword by famed racing icon Jacky Ickx.
    Simon also collaborated with racing outfits. He designed the livery for the 2011 Formula 1 team HRT and the current Le Mans efforts of the Lotus LMP2 team. Simon lectures about design at universities and conferences in California, Japan, Brazil and Germany.

  6. Skoda Octavia Cup 2018 Modding team presents Skoda Octavia Cup - 2018 specs. This car is based on Skoda Octavia RS 3rd. generation and is used in Octavia Cup Series in middle Europe. This mod is our first mod and was created with help of real mechanics and was tested by real drivers, so our priority was mainly physics and behavior of the whole car,not the detailed model, but we did what we were able to do to make it as best as possible 

    Mod highlights:
    Shader pack ready
    working wiper and door animations (BLM car rain effect ready)
    Physics was created and finetuned by original mechanics and drivers of real Octavia Cup and top simracing drivers in CZ/SK community
    interchangeable track maps in cockpit (based on real series 2018)
    Do not use forced ABS or TC to drive the car, it will cause issues, use factory settings instead. This will be fixed with next update.
    This car has Ohlins dampers where 0 is hardest and 20 softest setting, don't forget it while setting the dampers.
    Mod version: 1.0 contains only basic skin pack, real series skins are WIP and will be available in upcomming weeks. Template for skinning is included in the mod. Stay tuned for updates...

    With help of @Ross Macfarlane I have tried to match BOP with the Porsche and Maserati as close as possible. In real life ( FIA or MSA) the BOP changes on every track for the Ginetta, so I did ask you all and you said what you wanted, so hopefully we have done that.
    This is a new fresh install.
    Ginetta Supercup 2017
    After months of information gathering as you will see, but we are pleased to share this with you. There have been so many changes, that I will only list a few below. We have also changed the name, so that people that enjoy the V8.2 can also run this version. I would just like to add, this is nothing like the original version.
    NB. The original version, not just my opinion drove on rails and this one doesn’t. You need to get to learn the handling. Please I cannot stress this enough.
    This version includes a LHD and RHD, and both can be used against each other at the same time in Single Player or Multi Player. With the older version being so popular, we didn’t want to scrap the LHD so we included both. Both tested with VR.

    Some of the Key Changes / Additions:
    Total new cockpit/Wheel and realistic Dashboard, photo graphed from inside of the actual car.
    New Tyres and Aero
    Realistic Gearing and Final Drive – Information from Ginetta Team

    Introducing the Ferrari inspired F80 Hyper-car for Assetto Corsa
    The F80 Hyper-car, a stunning design by an up and coming Italian designer Adriano Raeli, whom has spent countless hours perfecting his design in the hope of attracting the attention of the powers that be at Ferrari HQ in Marenello. Adriano's ultimate aim, is having this utterly futuristic looking vehicle produced to become the next Hyper-car in Ferrari's long line of unforgettable releases.

    Additional KERS system boosting output to 1,200 BHP
    0 to 62 mph projected time is 2.2 seconds,

    Project History:
    As the F80's commissioner, l fell in love with this design one and a half years ago and in so doing l commissioned it to be developed with the intention that it be brought to Assetto Corsa as a free mod. My main motivation for this is parallel with the cars designer Adriano Raeli. l see this car as a future real world Ferrari and it is my hope that I can help in some small way and make this happen by throwing a spot light on it here in Assetto Corsa.
    The team is hoping to refine the car until it lives up to the vision of Adriano Raeli by Q1 of 2016. Adriano holds all rights and ownership of the cars design and supports the implementation of his design in Assetto Corsa. The F80 will have an optimized seating position in anticipation of the Oculus Rift CV1. DK2 support is already in place in the development model.
    Project Status:
    Currently the project consists of scratch built model.
    Further cockpit details will be finalized under the guidance of Adriano Raeli.
    The team will continue to refine the F80 until it is a highly respected mod amongst the community.
    Adriano, who knew nothing of this project until only recently will sign off on the project once he is completely satisfied with the end results.
    My Motivation:
    This project has been motivated by my passion for this beautiful automobile. I invite anyone that is a fan of this truly unique design to get behind me and support the project by sharing it with friends and family. To the Ferrari family which includes not just the Engineers or staff but their families as well, I would gladly welcome your support for this project. This car could become the iconic poster car of the future, just as we all had posters of Ferrari's on our walls as children.
    This will be a free to download mod for Assetto Corsa there will be no monetary gain intended or implied for this project. The F80 is a design which resonates with the soul of Ferrari, to see it, drive it, live it and ignite the passion of Ferrari to ultimately produce this design and add it to their lineage. Something only the magic touch of Ferrari can make a reality!

    P2P Re-Charge
    If you brake from 300kph for 1 second it will re-charge quicker than if you brake from 100kph for 1 second. AC does not support a set amount of push 2 pass button press's.

    I cannot stress this enough, but when you leave the pitlane, your brakes basically have 0 temp, you need to build these up, so please don't moan if you cannot stop on a six pence on lap one in turn one.
    Optimal temps are around 200-300 degrees Celsius for this type of car, which you can achieve in 1-2 laps.

    This is a RENAULT 5 ALPINE phase 1 (no turbo version)
    RENAULT build this car in 1976. In 1977, RENAULT begin "LA COUPE RENAULT-ELF"

  24. Porsche 550 Spyder

    The two physics set.
    The base 1955 Porsche 550/1500 RS (110 BHp, Dunlop R3 natural rubber tires - overheats at 80C, huge slip angle possible)
    And the "s1" version being a late 50's hillclimb prepared version with RSK engine part upgrade, increased displacement (1650-1700cc) and new Dunlop R5 tires (synthetic rubber) slightly wider rubber at the rear. Such a car finished 2nd at the 1960 Pikes Peak with Roger Ward at the wheel. We used dyno curves of a 547 1755cc engine.
    Porsche 550 physics background
    The 550 was basically the first ever mid-engine road car, so its design is not perfect. Suspension was all based on VW parts. Front was the double torsion bars (a Porsche patent) and rear was a basic swing axle - both causing horrible camber change under cornering. On top of that, the frame was weak and twisted a lot. It has drum brakes and 50's tires less than 100mm (4'') wide.
    However, aerodynamics was very sleek. Weight and inertia are extremely low (under 600kg) and the 4-cam 547 engine was way ahead of its time, revving easily up to 7500 rpm. It would be Porsche's race department workhorse for an entire decade.
    Overall the car has good handling for its time, but it was notoriously oversteering . Many period pictures show 550's in oversteer.
    Ken Miles (aka "Spyderman") said: "Steering the 550 was very much a matter of very large steering movement to produce the desired result",
    He also mentioned this about the 550 vs 550A (not in the mod currently) “The change in handling is unbelievable. Gone was the excessive oversteer (of the original 550), the RS (550A) was now as forgiving a car as one could possibly wish to meet."

    About sounds
    The engine sound is from real type 547 engine that Citytea recorded around 2006 at Salzburgring with his old Boss R-1 digital-recorder. He gave us permission to use with pleasure.
    Other sound samples are recorded by Ensyuya from real classic VWs or Kunos original ones.

    550 spyder mod got all functions that should be in this mod. All functions Kunos implemented in AC are working properly.
    Benchmark of 550/1500 RS Spyder mod
    I tried to measure the PC system performance hit of 550/1500 RS Spyder mod, because the development of basic part of this mod has been completed all. I used the official Alfa Romeo GTA for comparison as the benchmark. Generally results are not so bad for this mod. The load of this mod to the system is about 30% heavier than the Alfa Romeo GTA.
