    This is not my first Track, but it's the first that reached a stage to be released. I really like this Track but never found a Version for Assetto Corsa, so I decided to make it myself.

    From now on 2 versions are available: Luccaring v0.9 SD is packaged with reduced textures resolution for better performance on lower end PCs and to fit RaceDepartment maximum upload size limits; Luccaring v0.9 HD is packaged with full resolution textures and is available for download to contributors on the official website www.directo.it/luccaring
     
    LuccaRing SD should look not much different than the HD version up to 1920×1080. If you can afford a powerful PC, a triple monitor setup and a good graphics card with at least 2GB of ram (…and feel you can live with sligthly longer load times), please consider making a donation to enjoy the track in full-res, and to help us with hosting, bandwidth costs and further development. Folder structure and file names of SD and HD versions are exactly the same so they should be fully compatible for online racing. This has not been tested (yet).

  19. Riverside International Raceway

    This is my second, scratch built, track for AC and is what I believe to be the most accurate version of Riverside to date. Many hours have been spent to re-create this great track as close to the original as possible. A combination of topo maps, aerial photos, and hours and hours of video have been used to bring this track back to life. It is roughly modeled as if it was 1988 during the final Budweiser 400. Three layouts are included which are the Long, Short, and NASCAR layouts.
    Riverside sadly closed in 1989. Between the years of 1957-1988 it hosted many great racing series such as CAN-AM, IMSA, NASCAR, SCCA, IndyCar, and even Formula 1.

  20. Hockenheim Keiner Kurs '60

    Hello to everyone!!
    Today is time to present my last addition to AC, the Hockenheim's short course, as it looks back on 60's.
    Track lenght is 2.6 Kms and had a mix of nice turns, not a fast circuit at all but great for low powered cars as Alfa Romeo Giulia or a F3 car (if someday we got one).
    I try to represent a 60's looking Hockenheim, base on many pictures and vids i had, as usual with all my tracks, enviroment represent a mix of real stuff, and some of my imagination, mainly with crowds, paddock, advertising and race weekend stuff.
    I had to say i'm happy with final result, i feel at a 60's race weekend everytime i fire up track.
    I hope to improve track on future if necessary.
    I try track many time and everything seems to work OK.
     
    Know Issues:
    . Show Map function does not work property. . Maybe there is problem with some collision object. . Haybales and others objects does not had collision yet ( not sure if there is a soft collision for haybales) . AI cars go out to qualy but raced at slow speed.

    It is not allowed to host track zip file at a different site, if you want to host track please contact to me first.

I used some files from Kunos tracks as asph mask,tarmac detail and grovee, mainly because i dont know how to do this type of textures, yet One or more textures on this 3D-model have been created with images from CGTextures.com.     New in v0.4:
    New AI line from heavyweight1413's thread Redid the road markings between pitlane exit and the main track. In the previous version, I attempted to do these with a shrink-wrapped object on top of the track, and it didn't look very good. It's all geometry now. Also, the pitlane exit now has white lines as it should. Made another pass over all the kerbs, adding depth, aligning them better with the road, etc. The "Yokohama" bridge between T3 and T4 now finally has stairs on both sides. Probably could do with a bit more scaling and placing finetuning. The landscape mesh now is actually closed, no more holes (the lake area surrounded by T2/T3/T4 wasn't done previously). Experimented with a racing line groove overlaid on the road. Included in the release is only a relatively faint one; I'm planning to add a bit more in corners and braking zones. Added some of the more visible power lines Added a bit more stuff to the pitlane. Still incomplete. However, made an experiment adding several hundred of the geometry-heavy tent roofs, and it didn't seem to affect performance, so I guess I can go crazy here in terms of polygon budget. A few new buildings. Tried to improve the scenery that's visible from T11, for example by adding some sidewalks and fences to the road so it doesn't all just look like a flat rubbish texture. The guardrail inside the pitlane should actually follow the road now. Still needs work though. New cameras_start.ini so things don't look ridiculous after loading. Built a truck. Not really visible yet, and needs a few more to keep it company.

    Plans:
    Improve textures. The worst problems are solved but it's not state-of-the art. Low priority since I don't see a clear way forward for the most part. Trees. I guess they could be worse, but I'm not really satisfied. On the bright side, the polygon budget experiment gives me some hope I can do away with the 2D ones. Took some photographs of leaves. Add more tents/buildings/cars/trucks where large empty spaces can be seen (behind the pitlane for example). Improve existing bits by adding detail where needed. Experiment with tyre mark textures some more. Look into an alternate layout. Probably stuff I've forgotten.
