Il motivo risiede nella grande diffusione dei computer in Cina e sui mercati asiatici in generale, dove invece le console HD hanno vita più dura, ma Yamauchi non spiega quale misure anti-contraffazione potrebbero essere necessarie per mettere in pratica un simile progetto.
