Numerosi siti web riportano da oggi la data del 25 settembre come quella di uscita per il prossimo ed atteso F1 2010 della Codemasters. La data non è ufficiale, ma è servita a far "sbottonare" la Codemasters stessa che nella dichiarazione seguente spiega che arriveranno prossimamente screenshots, video e data ufficiale per il gioco.

As is always the case, until a date has actually been announced formally by ourselves any dates you might see across the internet are just speculatory. We'll be confirming further details regarding when we intend to release the game within the next few weeks. This announcement will also be accompanied by some further details about F1 2010, plus it will also mark the start of our intense promotional blitz for the game, incorporating screenshots, videos and everything else you'd expect to see leading up to the launch of a AAA title  I would have locked this sooner, but I'm on a day off work today.

Il noto mensile Playstation Magazine ha smentito oggi una notizia che lui stesso aveva dato per sicura in febbraio riguardo Gran Turismo 5: nel gioco infatti sarà si presente la pista di Indianapolis, ma non ci saranno invece le monoposto Indycar.

In our February 2010 cover story on Gran Turismo 5, we incorrectly stated that Indy (IRL) racing cars and tracks would appear in the game. While the Indianapolis Motor Speedway will indeed appear in GT5, Indy cars currently will not.

Il nuovo MotoGP 09/10 della Capcom uscirà solo il 31 marzo, ma si sta già pensando al suo successore, che probabilmente sarà MotoGP 10/11. In una recente intervista Greg Bryant, responsabile del progetto, ha dichiarato che il futuro gioco sfrutterà certamente le potenzialità stereoscopiche e 3D che saranno implementate dalla Sony per la PS3.

“We haven’t looked into Natal yet for MotoGP 09/10, but we’re definitely going to be looking into it for MGP 10/11 because I personally think the future for that application is through head tracking in racing games, We did a lot of testing with other games for competitor analysis and one that came up was the classic Grand Prix Legends. You can set that up with full head tracking and a steering wheel, and it’s one of the most compelling racing experiences. Now that that developers have that technology available to them we certainly want to harness that for the next iteration of the game. One of the other things that I’m really excited about it that the PS3 going to support 3D technology as well. So when you combine that with the PS Eye and theoretically doing the head tracking through that – I think that’s going to be absolutely awesome.”
