Ormai i simulatori di guida hanno raggiunto livelli di realismo decisamente incredibili e proprio oggi ve ne possiamo segnalare due diverse testimonianze: la prima è quella del testing del nuovo circuito inglese di Snetterton, in fase di sviluppo, utilizzando proprio rFactor, mentre la seconda, ancora più affascinante, è la prova della rivista Autosport al colossale simulatore F1 della Toyota!

La Electronic Arts ha annunciato oggi ufficialmente la data di rilascio del nuovissimo Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed: il titolo realizzato dal team Slightly Mad Studio sarà disponibile in Europa a partire dal prossimo 10 marzo 2011.

In Shift 2: Unleashed, players’ hands sweat and ache as they clutch onto the controller, their pulse races from the break-neck speeds experienced through the first-person cockpit view. netKar Pro: la Trento Bondone (con pioggia!) in immagini

Come gli appassionati più attenti già sanno, il rilascio dell'attesissima nuova versione 1.3 del netKar Pro della Kunos Simulazioni sta subendo qualche giorno di ritardo (del resto siamo a Natale...), ma gli sviluppatori hanno trovato il modo di farsi perdonare, con qualche informazione in più e con nuovi e spettacolari screenshots di anteprima! Si stanno ultimando l'implementazione di alcuni sistemi e l'integrazione del meteo, in ogni caso fra qualche giorno sarà disponibile la nuova release, presumibilmente in beta per non ritardare ulteriormente l'attesa ed al prezzo speciale di Euro 14,90 !

The complexity of simulating a tyre results from the fact that a tyre is not a simple object. Its shape, structure and materials are optimised for the conditions in which it is expected to operate. The tyre designer must make the tyre provide good grip, predictable forces and low rolling resistance for a range of slip angles and camber variations, under greatly varying loads, speeds and temperatures.

Hot Pursuit si aggiorna su PS3 ed XBox

Il recente Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, per ora solo in versione Playstation 3 ed XBox, è stato aggiornato con apposita patch, scaricabile direttamente tramite i rispettivi network, alla nuova release 1.1.

The Title Update for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Version 1.1 is available on the Xbox Live Marketplace and the Playstation Network Store. You can find it in the recent releases list, or by searching for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit by title. Not only do you get three hot convertibles FREE for your trouble, but you need Version 1.1 to get your hands on the Super Sports Pack. Most importantly, version 1.0 and version 1.1 are not compatible online, so if you and your buddies want to jump into a game of Hot Pursuit, you'll all need to be running the same version. So upgrade to Version 1.1 and get all your friends to do the same!
