Sei nuovi screen per WRC 2

Con la data di uscita che si avvicina sempre più (il rilascio del gioco è previsto per il 7 Ottobre) arrivano anche screen niente male per WRC 2 di Milestone. In questi sei nuovi scatti possiamo ammirare in azione la Citroen di Ogier e Loeb. L'impressione è che il team abbia compiuto un deciso passo in avanti rispetto alla release dell'anno scorso, speriamo che questo sia vero anche sotto il profilo della guida!

We have created another short "throw away" movie instead of static images, showing a few nature scenes in Euro Truck Simulator 2. The art team is striving to make the virtual world non-static, feeling natural and alive rather than very much frozen like in our older games. The world that the player drives through is a very important part of the overall experience - after all we hope that you will be spending hours and hours in this world, and we need to keep you interested in exploring it.

This week we took the lid off of three more cars in Need for Speed The Run, and two more legendary cars that nearly everyone will recognize! On Monday we showed you one of the most popular hot hatches there is, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Boasting 305hp and rally bloodlines, it's one of the best all-around cars in The Run.

In the middle of week, a fan favorite was unveiled. The Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32), with its iconic taillights and twin-turbocharged inline-6, it's one of the most sought after cars in the world. In The Run, you'll be able to get your hands behind the wheel and hit top speed as you pilot the GT-R cross-country!

The last release of the week was a big one. Sporting a monster 5.4L Supercharged V8, the Ford GT thunders into The Run. A bullet that's ready to compete with any other 200+mph supercar, the Ford GT is bound to be an extremely popular choice. In attesa che l'ultima versione di netKar Pro venga rilasciata, i Radiators ci mostrano un nuovo video realizzato con l'ultima build così da ingannare l'attesa. Il titolo del filmato non vuole essere un riferimento alla data del rilascio, bensì ai miglioramenti del netcode, che permette ora di gareggiare con vetture a poca distanza l'una dall'altra senza gli strani contatti che spesso capitano nella release attuale.

Gli sviluppatori dell'interessante Automation, particolarissimo simulatore manageriale di "casa automobilistica", hanno lanciato la possibilità di effettuare il pre-ordine del gioco, come spiegano gli sviluppatori stessi in dettaglio:

Preordering allows you to not only save $10 off the final price of the game, but also grants access to extra content once the demo is released. All games and preorders will be distributed by digital download.
We will be releasing the car and engine design aspect as a demo ahead of the game for our community to tinker with and get a taste of what Automation is all about. Allowing people to design, build and share their car designs before the game is complete.

The demo will be restricted in content (to only 4-cylinder hatchbacks) whereas if you have preordered you will get access to all content as we complete it. As more content is added(for example V8 engines, or convertibles) the preorder price will incrementally be raised until it reaches the final sale price of $30 once the game is completed.

Piccola pezza per Gran Turismo 5

La Polyphony ha rilasciato a sorpresa una nuova, piccola patch per aggiornare il suo Gran Turismo 5 alla versione 1.12, correggendo una nuova manciata di bugs...

In a surprise move, Polyphony Digital has released a new GT5 update less than one week after 1.11 brought a batch of bug fixes and a Jeff Gordon driving suit. Update v1.12 continues with the bug-fixing theme, though the only documented change is a correction to a glitch with the Limited Slip Differential controller for FF cars. As such, this update is very light, weighing in at only 13MB. Thanks to all of you who sent this in so quickly!
