E' finalmente disponibile l'atteso update Spec 2.0 per Gran Turismo 5, che va ad introdurre significative novità e migliorie all'interno del mastodontico titolo Polyphony. Il sito ufficiale ci mostra in dettaglio tutto ciò che è cambiato in questa nuova release, a cominciare dai cockpit per tutte le vetture standard (per quanto semplificati) per poi continuare con il supporto ufficiale a G25/G27 e alle migliorie alla fisica.

Sono stati inoltre annunciati i contenuti del primo DLC, disponibile dal 18 Ottobre (quindi tra una settimana): interessane la modalità di rilascio a pacchetti, per cui non si è obbligati ad acquistare tutto nel caso non si sia interessati. L'introduzione della pista di Spa Francorchamps è indubbiamente l'elemento di maggior rilievo e rende il Course Pack quello più appetibile. Considerato che abbinando l'acquisto di tale pacchetto al Racing Car Pack si spende già di più che per il bundle completo, quest'ultima scelta rimane forse la più oculata. Four cars made their introduction to Need For Speed The Run this week. We kicked it off with the incredible Porsche 918 RSR, a 700+hp hybrid race car. The 918 is absolutely gorgeous and will feature some iconic liveries from the classic 917. Following that German masterpiece, is one from the other side of the world, different in nearly every way. The Mazda RX-7 RZ was only available in Japan, but anyone can use it to race for their life in The Run. To end the week, we took a look at two classics, the Audi quattro 20 V, and the Chevrolet El Camino SS. The Audi is one of the best known rally cars in history, and the first to turbocharge a four-wheel-drive. The El Camino SS has a monster 454 V8 under it's hood, making it a defnite "sleeper" in the cross-country race. If you're looking for something unexpected, look no further than this Chevy.

DiRT 3 - PC Patch V1.2 Changelog:

-Resolved an issue which could prevent the user successfully saving with profiles that contained unicode characters.

-UI elements are no longer incorrectly displayed in Gymkhana

-Improvements to input system, supporting multi-device action maps. The user can now set button configurations to span multiple devices; previously a bug would cause these settings to be lost upon game restart.

-Corrected various spelling mistakes across all languages

-Reset line corrections to prevent potential ‘out of world’ or ‘driving into crowd’ issues on several tracks

-Corrected an issue which could, in rare circumstances, prevent the display from rendering in the event of 16xCSAA being selected.

-Steering wheel no longer jolts to the left in the race reward screen

-Removed an incorrect limitation which could cause VSync to lock the refresh rate to 60Hz on a 120Hz system.

-Physics output to motion simulators is now correctly faded out at the end of a race, preventing some situations within which motion would continue after crossing the finish line.

-Adjusted head camera configuration to avoid excessive vibration effects when VSync is disabled.

-Front end menu improvements for multi-display systems, correcting a small number of visibility issues.

-Improvements to GPU detection, correcting a potential issue which in some circumstances could prevent SLI scaling operating correctly with DirectX 11.
