Today we’re proud to announce that Codemasters will remain the home of the official FORMULA ONE™ games and that we’ve now extended our partnership with Formula One World Championship Limited in a further multi-year agreement.

We’ll continue to produce the official FORMULA ONE game for worldwide release, and our range of FORMULA ONE titles will further be expanded with F1 ONLINE THE GAME™, a free-to-play online management and racing game, due to go live this spring. An additional and all-new FORMULA ONE experience for a family audience is also due this holiday season, with further details to be revealed at a later date.

Da lungo tempo ormai i fans di Test Drive Unlimited 2 attendono il secondo pacchetto di contenuti extra ufficiali per il gioco, che sembra essere quasi arrivato alla meta del rilascio. Intanto oggi gli sviluppatori hanno annunciato tramite Facebook che il DLC2 non conterrà nuove moto, ma solo nuove auto, fra le quali la Corvette ZR1.

Novità in arrivo da parte del team SimBin: in collaborazione con il gruppo Eurosport infatti, i programmatori svedesi ci annunciano l'arrivo di un nuovo simulatore gratuito denominato Virtual WTCC 2012. Il sim, ovviamente dedicato alla stagione appena partita da Monza del World Touring Car Championship, sarà la base di un campionato virtuale online e dal vivo nelle varie tappe del Mondiale e sarà rilasciato tramite RaceRoom dopo ciascuna gara reale.

During the WTCC 2012 season, people from around the globe will get the chance to test their skills as virtual drivers online as well as onsite at selected WTCC events.

Throughout the season, a V-WTCC roadshow using a 400m2 gamepark will be visiting selected events of the WTCC championship.

The Virtual Championship covers the complete WTCC season calendar. The gamers visiting one or more of the WTCC events will be able to compete in high quality racing simulators. The gamers not visiting a real WTCC event can simply compete from their home PC still having the chance of winning the Virtual WTCC Championship. The competition is a point based Hotlap contest. All points scored in online and onsite events go in to the championship scoreboard where a winner is announced at the end of the season.

Onsite points are worth twice as much as points scored in the online events, so it will really pay off to participate in the actual WTCC events that will be visited by the gamepark.

As the headline suggests, the V-WTCC 2012 is not only a roadshow and a championship. It is also a free PC game featuring the WTCC 2012 cars and circuits. The game is developed by SimBin Studios AB and will be released in steps via www.raceroom.net as the WTCC season unfolds.

The first game package covering 1/3 of the season will be released in April, around the same time as the online competitions are started. More details of the competition calendar, competition prizes as well as a more detailed presentation of the project partners will be announced later via www.raceroom.net

Con un brevissimo annuncio su Facebook, il team di iRacing ha confermato che la nuova Cadillac CTS-V, attualmente in fase di sviluppo, sarà disponibile per il simulatore americano a partire da aprile e sarà rilasciata in modo completamente gratuito come vettura extra, per tutti gli utenti abbonati. Sempre ad apriile sarà rilasciata anche la nuova pista di Motegi.
